Let's see the link. Tasers kill people now?

Yup... but if you review the taser related cases, the majority (including the Utah case) were drug junkies. Their body is already on the verge of overheat. There are plenty of cases of suspects dying while being placed into custody WITHOUT the use of the taser too ;)

Yeah, that's my point. The Taser may contribute, but it's not a killer. :D

Actually, that's the problem with unclear language.

The question, in concert with your subsequent posts, don't leave much room for alternative explanations of your "unspoken" opinion....

.... ya friggin' pinko. :D

I'm with Kurt. If this guys had the strength to fight the cops efforts to pick him up, then he had the strength to stand. Excessive force, I think not. They gave him ample opportunity to stand up and walk, and he would not comply. They even told him that if he did not comply, they would Tazer him again. If that were me then I would think, 'Hmm... that ****ing hurt, maybe I should stand up.' Not say, "Here's you patriot act!" in a nasally voice.
All these liberal dumbasses that think that the country is becoming a police state need to think for a moment, no ones going to care what you do if you don't do something stupid. As stated, I believe that the cop's asked him for his ID because he was in the library after hours. Had he complied and not said something stupid, this whole situation would have been avoided. Think people, think!

That doesn't work when you're a whiny b*tch who cries racism instead of following policy. F**k him.

I was not asking anyone to provide alternative explanations of my "unspoken" opinion.

I will put my opinion into clear (hopefully) words so that there is no more confusion :greg:

I feel that the officers handled the situation well, but used the taser too often. I also feel that attacking someone personally rather than attacking their statements is wrong. Also stereotyping a person (liberals, conservatives, ect...) is wrong and does not take into account the unique experiences that the individual has had.

Tasers are part of pain compliance philosophy. That guy fully deserved every volt, since he didn't comply, and further, taunted security. Boo hoo.

Stereotypes exist as the average of an individual's observable personality. Yeah, there's variation, but whatever. That's why I always get asked if I'm Mormon when people find out where I live now. :D No reason to get all upset about it.

Also, the distinction between a personal attack and an attack of one's statements is mighty thin sometimes.
