I actually follow medical research updates not published in the media. Pretty much has shown it doesn't work.
Even FDA pulled label of preliminary approval for COVID (doctors can still use it off-label in their patients. )

Now I know you're full of shit. Because the one study that was done and used across the board to show that it doesn't work was retracted. If you dig on the researchers that were credited with that study, it was literally a non-existent entity. A shell company with fake people.

And yet in various other areas it's being confirmed as working by boots on the ground doctors.

Dueling links basically just shows that we should leave the research and treatment plans to the professionals and keep it out of politics. Unfortunately Trump's pushing of it as a treatment had made it yet another "us v them" issue when we should be listening to experts and research results.

I hardly look at the WHO as a non political organization. They have tried to cover for China on this mess and have not exactly been forthcoming on information. Let alone that fact that they have walked back information multiple times due to political pressure.

My take is that there's not really a lot I can do about it. Let all the talking heads say/do whatever they're going to do. They're all full of opinion based some on facts. Seems to depend on your perspective what the "right" thing to do is.

Things I can do and what I've seen as "effective" to not get Corona and will work for me since I work at a food mfg facility.

*wash your hands with soap
*if you don't have soap, use sanitizer
*clean your surfaces at least a couple times per day or whenever anyone else has touched surfaces you are needing to touch
*don't touch your face (unless you've washed or sanitized)

**great debate of wearing a mask---wear a mask AND try to stay 6' away from those not in your "bubble" (I hate masks but wear one at least 10 hours per day since mid-March)

Not a damn thing I feel like I can do about things other than the above. Some people seem to think the mask is going to "solve" all the problems. I'm sure it won't. Can it help? Probably. Will people keep their masks sanitary? No way in hell will ALL people do that

The mask seems to be a placebo and false sense of security to some. It won't PREVENT Corona

This is exactly where I'm at, with all of it. I'm staying out of crowds, I'm wearing a mask if I'm indoors in public, I'm staying home whenever possible, I'm washing my hands, and that's about all I can do. It's all I have control over and it's all I care about anymore. Whatever else will happen is gonna happen no matter what I feel about it.

I think it's important to talk about and not just lay down and roll-over at a whim of any bureaucratic order. That's all.

I feel like there's a line, and martial law is on one side of that line and mandatory masks are on the other. I get that that line will be in different places for different folks and that's ok. But I'm not getting bent out of shape for a bureaucratic order that appears to make sense to me.

It doesn't make any sense to me. Your oxygen levels are lower, you're recycling a pitri dish of air on your face all while waiting for an opportunity to get in line for an injection.

If your mask works, why are you afraid that I'm not wearing one?

How do you boil a frog?

The facts are that there are existing options to help people and those options have been suppressed. People have died because of that. I'm pissed off. And I'm trying to figure out when the rest of you will start getting pissed off. This is not a game.

Just to keep us all on our toes, a new link that showed up in my email updates.

On masks, just keep in mind the idea is they limit your spread not your own exposure. You wear them to protect others, not yourself. Unfortunately getting Americans to do something for the greater good isn't easy.

Did you forget when pretty much the whole country stayed inside for two months? Americans don’t do well with people who appear to not know what the hell they’re talking about yet are labeled “professionals”.

Yet, asymptomatic spread of Cov-19 is "very rare" according to our world health "professionals"... so which is it? Wear a mask if not showing any signs of related symptoms to "save grandma", or only wear a mask if you are showing symptoms; in which case you should be home anyways?
