Next project was prepping for paint. I couldn't have done it without the help of my little prepper. He says that he is helping with the jeep cause when I die he gets it cause he helped.. lol
according to him I already have one foot in the grave.. haha

Wow, wow, wow, love the progress and color. At least you're down to the fun part. Do you have a target completion date?

Oh it's a blast. Can't hardly get anything else done because all I want to do in work on putting it together.
My goal is to have it ready for moab thanksgiving weekend but I've had goals before and they don't seem to stick very well. Lol

that might be the best update of any thread ever. Looking awesome. What paint is that?
Thank you. It had been to long coming. Haha
It is my paint that I sell.. Transtar No Mix. The color is Toyota 8T5 but with my own twist on it with some pearls. It turned out gorgeous straight on in light it's like a cobalt blue but side tone it's a midnight blue and at night it looks black.

I don't know if I could scratch that blue.... LOVE IT

Amen!!

That is beautiful! The first scratch will hurt the worst!

The advantage of doing bodywork for the past 22 years makes it so I know how to fix all those things pretty much over a weekend. Lol
I get asked all the time! Why are you making it so nice? My answer: It's what I do!!! Lol
This is actually a sales piece for me as well for work.

base/clear, I assume? (in some ways, I still wish I worked with cars----don't see many body shops wanting an IT guy/estimator/office dork)
Yes base/clear. Are you looking for a job? There are always shops looking for estimators. Being a IT guy and a office dork is just a bonus.

No experience estimating but have about 6 years working in a body shop before I got out of college. I can tell you what I wanted as a painter in an estimator :D (no real skill there :D)

Invisible, on purpose!
Yahooooo!! I'm born again! I'm so stoked to see your build coming back to life.

As everyone knows life happens and suddenly you realize you haven't done anything on your project for months! I haven't posted on my thread for over a year, even though I have done some work on the body and chassis, but it seems like small steps forward and, does anybody really care, after all it's been going on for 3 years or more.:-\

That paint is BEAUTIFUL!:greg: That's a lot of work to get a Jeep body straight enough to spray any dark color, but you definatly know your craft! I'll be coming to you when I build the streeter I've always wanted!!

I know there are couple of other builds out there like the commando 4 door that haven't been updated in a long time too!

I'll take some pics &update my progress in the next week & make a callout to you other guys who have a stalled project, or post, that needs to be updated!;)

Let's get them out & going!:D

Thanks Deweyxj. Life does happen but that's the joy of these projects they will let life happen and be waiting for you till you can find the time, interest, ambition to start again. The biggest thing is don't give up! Don't be like other posers and get frustrated and sell your dream off!!!

I am really happy with the paint. I had to stop working on getting it so straight because lets face it... At the end of the day its a jeep.. lol:rofl:

Thanks for following the thread.:greg:
