Finally got around to returning the wheels lent to me by jesser04 today. When I got home, Jenn handed me a letter from the DMV. It stated that her registration had been revoked and we had to turn the plates in, bring the vehicle in for inspection AND pay a fine. She took it and had it reinspected on the 3rd and it passed and was registered.

WTF is going on with these people:mad::mad::mad:

Steve, I have absolutely no idea. The letter states non-compliance, but who the hell knows what they mean. We'll call on Monday, find out what they want, and then take turns shoving our fingers down our throats..........

Even if they are scanning rme to see who is borrowing tires thats doesnt matter what matters is what it looks like when the inspection is done. FREAKING A HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!! If you need the tires again your welcome to them. A couple questions do you keep it in a garage? how long after the reinspection did you switch the tires back? My opinon is someone has it out for you. If it were me I would do what you did to get it passed again and when you change it back put in a garage or park it somewhere else beside your house. If you go that route you would be welcome to put it under my carport for as long as needed good luck.

Sounds like those uhp guys from the shop are driving by your house. Freaking losers.

It's registered to a different address (jenn's condo). Should it matter what condition it is in as long as it's in my driveway and not on a public road?

Cannot figure this one out. We have the option to dispute the revocation. I'll be doing just that.........

For real Greg? Why is it that two adjoining states can be so different.

My guys know I do the change. I tell them to take pics so they don't get hassled. I was compliant at the time.

I thought it was up to the cops to decide after the fact. What authority does a shop have to do a drive by check?

Why? Control... it's all about control. Some people just can't stand not having control over every aspect of your life, cars included.

Catherine drove the TJ to the DMV to get it registered, passing an elementary school that had just let out. The Fruita Police Chief was out doing Cross-Walk duty... saw the TJ coming down the road and.... smiled and waved to Catherine as she drove by. I love it here. :D Errrr... I mean, Colorado sucks, don't come here!!

Sorry to hear about all the trouble Marcus, that's bullshit.

they should be doing drive bys its if u get pulled over by one there not going togo to your house its if your driving it on the road. most shops dont even care whats on your rig i'm telling u if the jeep is registered say in davis county and its a 95 and older so non obd then so you have the emissions done in salt lake county the i'm cert wouldn't be any good then they might revoke your registration catch my drift on what i'm talking about. But more then likely they fud up and your having to deal with it.

They revoke for no insurance. My company van came up no insurance even though it was covered like the other 12 trucks on the same policy. Only one came up not insured the van and they revoked the reg. Go figure.

Take your ins papers with you to.

Just an idea.

Man what a mess sorry to hear about all the trouble Goat if retaliation by the police is the case here I would think that there should be a city or state policy stating that it is unethical to do so.

I miss Colorado, when I moved to Utah I had to put mud flaps on my Jeep to pass on freakin 31's, but yet they didn't care that I was missing a lug nut!!

You've got to be kidding. I'm not sure of the process, but I'd put it into perfect street legal condition and take it in somewhere for inspection. Then I'd find out why the state is harassing you. Then I'd sue the UHP for harassment. You need to find out the name of that guy that started this and lets get a campaign going. There is no reason for this kind of thing to happen.
