not 2002 there is a by pass to the right side that was created in 2001 and there is no sign of anyone going thru there

I just looked through the pics and found one that has a plate shot. Looks like it's either 98 or 99 (unless they forgot to register their Rover!)

After my experiance, I really don't think I'll EVER run the trail again, and it was me who suggested the trip; I'd been wanting to do it for like 6 years!!

Glad you finally got out. Reports like that remind me of why I don't want an older trail rig. Granted things can go wrong in any vehicle, but the odds certainly go up over time.

:rolleyes: An underprepared late model rig could have just as much trouble as an older one. Trail use will QUICKLY age anything whether it's 2 years old or 40 years old.

I'm just hoping my dad will be able to make it in his yj on 32's open...he doesn't have very much experience on that kind of terrain.

as for the trip, that weekend seems ok. I need to figure out when my summer road trip is so I can make sure this is far enough away. I'll get some dates figured out and we'll hammer down a date for this trip and get our ducks in a row.....when is mitsubishi diamante's wedding?

I think it would be wise for ANY vehicle to have a once over after washboard type stuff for any length of time. Bolts have a tendancy to loosen for some reason.

Its about 30 miles in from the airport and some of it is slow very slow. Put me down for your trip I love to run this trail. It can be done with 31s if you dont mind draging, We ran a stock 05 rubicon though it last year, Still had the temp tag in the window. But yes it got high centered a few times. You have to have more than one winch. And dont count on useing anything like a cell phone or CB to talk thte out side world. HAM Radio works to get out to talk at night in some places.

We've tried that before and it still didn't work.....but it'd be cool if they'd go. Never been four wheeling with him!

I've been wheeling with him a couple times... once in his Sami, and once he was riding with Ograh...

I'm down with the end of Sept/first of Oct. But I would prefer mid-October just because things really start to slow down in October :) Either way I'm pretty stoked to make it happen

Oh, it's gonna happen. I've waited too long to do this trail. It's up to Cody on the dates right now, since he's got other things planned too. We'll figure that out soon.

You guys intrested in one more rig tagging along? Hole in the Rock has always sounded like a neat trail, but definatley better/safer with more people.
