Greg, I gotta give it to ya. This would kill me. I don't want to know anything about what happened to Jenn's jeep. Having some dude give you the play by play of WTF he's changing on your old rig would get old quick.

M

I know where you're coming from, but it's nice to see that it's getting used as it was built to be used. Clayton is a good guy and he knows whats up, I like what he's done with the rig and how he's using it. I really enjoy seeing his updates, I think I'd rather know, than not... you know?

The jeep faired very will in the flop. Wrinkled up the windshield frame a little more but managed to keep the glass in it still! The driver's side is practically unhurt.

The next course I managed to drag the passenger's side door and rocker guard pretty good.

Earlier in the the day I was on the drivers side two wheeling and gassed it to bring it back down and managed to explode one of the sway bar links. It bent the tab on the axle into the steering ram and gouged it a little. Ram does not leak so I pulled the link off the other side, tied up the sway bar, bent the mount out of the way and finished out the day.

I've got some heims clunking a bit too. It was a rough day but certainly the best I've had with it. Its time for the winter tear down/upgrade and rebuild.

Are people getting tiered/bored/irritated with the stuff I post? The only person I know on this site is Greg and really only post here to keep you guys updated on the jeep because this group followed it from its inception and has a bit of an emotional attachment. I asked Greg before I started this thread if it would bother him if I posted on his site.

I'll transfer my postings to my local boards if bothers people seeing me change the jeep.

By the way; I will be headed to KOH in February. I might stop in Moab on my way to or from if anyone want to get together.

:D By all means, keep us updated! I know there are more than a few guys that are following it, even though they may not post up. Plenty of guys on here watched the build, then got out on the trail with the TJ after it was done. I think most everyone likes seeing how it has changed.

I've got no problem with. I never actually got to see it in person, but in pictures/videos I've seen it's a cool little rig, so I personally like seeing updates. I figure it's no different than any other build thread that just keeps getting updated or etc...

Very cool of you to respect, Greg before posting up, though!

It was a busy weekend.

I got the rear ARB installed along with the new 5.13 ring and pinion. The locker works just like it should and I am excited to have selectable diffs both front and rear now.

The only issue is that I have to re-wire the switches so that I can operate the locker independently. Apparently ARB factory wires the harness so that you have to turn on the front before you can turn on the rear. I thought I screwed something up in the wiring and it was driving me crazy because the harness is pretty much all plug in connectors. I could not figure out how I had messed it up when a friend told me they come prewired that way.

I also got started on the supercharger install. I did all the tear down and clean up as well as installed the new fuel pump. I guess I am committed to it now and I hope it goes back together as easy as it came apart.

I have been following all the Magnacharger instructions step by step. I went ahead and labeled each of the sensor and injector connectors as I unhooked them. It should make reassembly easier.

Congrats on the rear ARB, I know you've been working on that project for a long time!

I can't wait to see pics of the supercharger on there... what HP and TQ numbers are you expecting? That thing is going to be an animal with boost cramming air into the cylinders.

The ARB wiring harness is really easy to modify--it's normally set up to require you to engage the rear first, then the front--you must have your switches reversed, but no matter--all you need to do is jumper the power wire from your front ARB switch to your rear ARB switch. The way it is from the factory, the second switch doesn't get 12v until the first locker is on. Just splice the 12v+ wire from your front to your rear and you're all independent. :)

The write up I saw on an 07? Silverado truck? Was something like another 150 horse with only 7? lbs of boost on a bone stock motor.

Actually, found the article. 375 hp at the rear wheels on an 07 Sierra.

That number seems really low to me. According to my drag times/weight/etc, I'm putting 350 hp at the rear wheels on a bone stock NA motor. They must not have tuned the PCM or something, because I would have expected closer to 450+ hp numbers.

It has been awhile. I went back and looked up my post on Pirate asking how people where building the 40 spline ARBs. That was the first of July. But 4 months from the time I started asking questions, getting the piece built and now installed is not too bad. I really have not even driven it much since the install. I let you know how it holds up, how it performs on the trails and on the black top.

Thanks for the info. I figured it would be fairly easy. I just had not gotten a chance to look into it.

I really am hoping for a solid 150hp bump. Realistically I am expecting about 125. The Magnacharger dyno sheets show 130HP gain on a 2000 Chevy truck. I will be running an 8-9 PSI pulley and Jennetty Racing will be dong a custom tune so that should help.

The wow factor and blower whine are going to be that little cherry on top of the whip cream.

The supercharger is on bolted to the heads and it all fits under the hood! I’m still working on the intercooler brackets. It's amazing how tight things get. Progress continues slowly.

Teaser pictures

Not quite running yet but 95% done. I need to do a little more wiring, tie up all the hoses and wires, and add oil to the supercharger nose cone. I turned the key to power the fans and inter cooler pump tonight. It took a while get the pump primed and the system fully bleed. The two little 6” fans move a ton of air. I am very impressed with them. It will not be long now!
