Is it ok to have a "make light of" thread?

I hated the way they tried to sell it as environmentally friendly. So many perfectly functional cars scrapped for a marginally incremental increase in average MPG.
And they really screwed people that could only afford those cheaper, used cars. I’m still mad

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
This one was interesting. Parked next to this poor guy at Oriellys today. I walked into the store and looked around. I was 99% sure I found his owner in one of the isles. Just by his dress and demeanor.
I was at the counter when he came up next to me and asked the sales guy if they had any exhaust tube larger than 3”. I had to cover my smirk.
We walked out ant the same time and I sat in my truck and waited while he tried to start it. Let’s just say he need to spend more on basic maintenance than getting a bigger exhaust.

My favorite parts were the oil cooler hanging by tie wire and the rear bumper tied to the carrier rack. Or maybe the tail lights frenched into the rear hatch to replace the stock ones removed for the comp cut.

The sticker is clever though.

^^ maybe? I mean, they were XJs... My oldest has been very vocal about affordable XJs vs his TJ that was totaled for the second time.

To be clear, I'm still holding out for another good, affordable TJ buy though.

Reality is always so much more entertaining and mind boggling than fiction.

I don’t even like to think about that program. That was a dark time in American history.
No it's ok, they left one for you.
