Jeep Doublers??

It would have cost upwards of $1400 to get my setup. (w/ shifters)

here are the mechanical shifters if you flip the d300

I wouldn't be as happy with an atlas unless it was a 4 speed.
anything lower than 2.72:1 as a first low range would, in my opinion, kill the usability on high speed stuff like sand dunes.

2.61 (d300)*2.72 (nv231) = 7.0992*5.38 (axle gear)*4.01 (1st gear nv3550)= 153.16 low low

My 231 doubler is going between a 4l60e and a 241 case. Not sure the rig yet...

You can't double anything behind a 4l60e because it won't shift cause it uses a speed sensor of when to shift In the 241. Wanted to run the same in my s10 but not possible. If u figure it out let me know and I'll run it. I have a 231/241 doubler and it's not that strong. Snapped the 241 in half. Lockers front and rear. 40's and 200 Hp 2nd gear masher are not a good combo tho

Not true. AA spacer plates are made to put the speed sensor between the trans and the tcase. Now this works fine in high range, but can cause a problem in low range. I have ran across companies that make speed sensors that run right off the drive shaft, the way big trucks do it. What ever tone ring you use, you can program the ecu for it so it will always shift right.

Or run a manual valve body and shift when you want.

if you are worried about this, contact waynehartwig. he is the computer tuning master for all GM '98 and newer.

edit: proper shifting with a double and 4l60e or any other computer controlled gm trans

something else for you to consider...I use a klune V in my jeep between the trans and stock tcase. one has 2.72 and the other 4:1. Been running this combo for years without issues --knock on wood--

Ihave heard that these can be ordered with nearly any trans/T-case combo, which would serve as an adapter as well! If this is true???

Well i don't know what it fits because i'm not a vendor nor an expert. Might be worth a call to them. The price if i remember sort of approaches that of an atlas II so it's one of those cost decisions that must be made. I wondered if the added torque wouldn't split my aluminum tcase and make the purchase a bad one. So far it hasn't in spite the spritely 4banger haha
