What year did they classify it as? 79? I never had cats on my 78 and my 76 doesn't have them either.

Ya 79 K-10, I had my brother who is a certified Safety guy pull up the requirements, says it has to have cats, so I took it down to my "buddy" that does safety, and he said he could fudge everything but the missing cats.

Oh well, I can get the temps for EJS, then I wanted to redo the exhaust anyway, put on some flowmasters instead of the rotted glass packs.

Its crunch time! leavin wednesday for moab, here''s some pics of the latest happenings.

Got the stereo system installed and wired, just need to put the sub in the box.

fuel tank is on, just need to run the new fuel line and remove the old tank.

And here are some pics of the new lights, the front rock lights are mounted on the inside of the fenders. Rears are mounted to the bottom side of the flat bed.

Still need to install the CB, and work out a few final details and should be ready to hit the trail.

Just thought I would share a couple pics of the truck from EJS. I was very impressed at how well it did. Climbed everything I wanted to. The only breakdown was the mechanical fuel pump on Gold Bar, installed the electric I had with me and away I went. Also threw in a pic of my boy, he was grandads side kick on his first trailride. also my brothers ford making it up wipe out hill, double whammy, and psh.

well when you have to get out and take most of your own pics, its easier to do on the downhill.

I forgot to mention how you tried to roll your xj on psh, broke off a flare and destroyed a yoke and the steering.

I don't have any of the carnage pics though, just pics of you not making it up PSH.:rofl::rofl:

So, I never thought I would say this, but after looking at this thread, I miss my chevy. I know I'm going to get it this weekend, and thinking of all the things that I need to fix and things I want to do to it. and the beautiful weather, I actually cant wait to have my chevy back.

Just realized I never updated this, the plate are on, now working on doing some repairs, upgrading the steering linkage, strengthening the frame, picked up some doors, mirrors, lots of little details. OH, and I got the but ugly redneck, stupid a$$ mud flaps on there, any smaller and it won't be legal.
