Reminds me of the rocket skates I made as a child. And the buddy who volunteered to try them. Old fashioned metal wheel skates. Three of the biggest Estes rocket motors I could buy from Douglas Models strapped to each. Electric ignitors to fire all six motors at once. Skates took off alright, immediately going out from under him and landing him on his back where the rocket motors burned the shit out of him until he got enough control of himself to roll over and get them pointed away from him.

I miss Douglas Models. Got my first A-10 and F-4 models there when I was a kid.

I kinda miss it too. I worked there....I probably only remember the good stuff, but I remember it being pretty fun.

I do not miss Jack Douglas' horrible breath though.

See, if you ask me that cage is an example of modern engineering excellence. You can clearly see it absorb the impact and then it just pops off for easy disposal. I mean, every good cage builder knows you should replace a cage after a hard rollover.
