Actually, I have, and that's definitely one of my top 3 vehicles potential vehicles.
I have seen a handful of domestic, old-iron muscle cars that have been turned into desert cars... and I LOVE the idea! So badass... I'd love to put one together some day.

First time I ever ran the PET was in a '68 Chevelle. Ran that thing all over the desert. At SPEED.

What year is yours? How many miles do you have on it?
I think a fleet of baja bugs would be so cool, I love those.
Did they ever make a 4x4 vw thing?
that is a sweet Thing! I may be mistaken, but i believe that was a Foddrill build out of Phoenix.
Looks Fiddrill'esque, at least the parts are theirs. We run some of their suspension components on our Class 5 desert car, top shelf stuff. Speaking of which, anyone need a desert car:

Our next move is hopefully a Tundra
I didnt know you were involved with that class 5... thats a pretty sweet car for sure!
There's also the WK2 Grand Cherokee. Avoid the Overland/Trailhawk editions with the ride height control and you can run 2.5" lift and 32" tires. IFS/IRS, 4x4, 4low, electronic limited slip in some models, and certainly rides nice at 85 mph.
