Great, thanks for that link! I'll be using that as a reference this weekend.

edit: I talked to toyota earlier and they had the p/n for the larger bushing but I didn't think to ask about the smaller ones. The second link you provided says toyota doesn't carry the bushings individually, hopefully that's not the case, I do want to stick with rubber, hopefully I can get them on time if I have to order them online.

edit 2: I went ahead and ordered the bushing kit online since Toyota doesn't sell the smaller bushings separate from the rack. Hopefully they arrive by the weekend so I don't have to go another week with this wobble.

Damn, that sucks. Because I'm not sure if I'll get the bushings in by the weekend, the rest of the parts I should have this week.

Doh. Had i seen this earlier... I've got that wheelers kit sitting in my garage... I'm never going to use it...

How much do you want for it? I don't need it right this second, but it seems like these go out between 200 and 250k, so I'm sure I'll be due shortly...

Picked up my LBJ's and OTRE's from the dealer this morning, just waiting on my steering rack bushings to come in the mail and it's on like donkey kong.

On another note I filled up my tank today and I got 17mpg on this latest tank. Pretty happy with the results.

I checked it out this morning and I was wrong about which kit i have. I bought the wheelers kit when i had my old 4runner. The one i have now is the one from TotalChaos. Pretty sure its just a rebadged energy suspension one. I'd let it go for like $20?. Shoot me a PM if you want it.

Its the one at the bottom of this page: http://www.chaosfab.com/96-04-Tacoma-96-02-4Runner-Off-Road-Suspension-Accessories.html

Sorry for the semi- hi-jack Maldito....

It's ok, I actually looked through your parts for sale but unfortunately none of them, except for maybe the cv boots would work for my 4Runner. Otherwise I would've picked up the LBJ's from you.

Looks like it'll be another week with this steering rack bushing issue. Wheelers sent me the wrong part, and not just by a little bit, but completely the wrong part, they are closed thru the weekend so I won't be able to sort this out with them til Monday.

On the plus side they did send me the a zip loc bag with candy, I wonder if I could eat it or if they will expect me to return it also :D

Which part number did they send you? We (Cruiser Outfitters) may have them in stock too, I know I've stocked them in the past but may not have brought them in on our last big Energy Suspsnion order as we don't sell many of them.

a stock elocker third goes for $450-500, so getting one with 5.29's AND an axle, shafts, brakes, etc is a killer deal. Even if you just want the housing, you could sell the third for what this costs. Plus you won't have a leaky axle this way. :)

Sorry guys, as usual I keep bumping the rear e-locker down the priority list and doing other things to this rig first lol. I'll admit the locker would be helpful in many situations where I've had a hard time making it through an obstacle, but I always make it through after enough persuasion or different angle.

Over the weekend I finally got around to installing the lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends and the steering rack bushings as well along with new hardware. The OTRE and LBJ's are OEM Toyota and the bushings are Energy Suspension. After I got it installed I took it down to get an alignment yesterday and wow, what a difference those parts made! The steering is super responsive and very firmed up now. It really feels great, plus the peace of mind that those parts wont suddenly go out on me is nice as well.

I'm really happy with the way the 4Runner is coming along, I also replaced the primary o2 sensor at the same time also since at this point it's on it's way out so I took care of that. I dont know if I want to do the secondary o2 or not yet.

Today I took it out for a drive through the mountain in Old Ward and pulled out the guns for a bit of fun since it was such a nice day out. My buddy and I were actually the only ones up there aside from a JKU that showed up as we were in the upper staging area, full of teenagers acting like complete jackasses. Spent the larger portion of the day up there having a blast and relaxing away from the city.

We would've stayed up there longer but we didnt bring any food and we got hungry so we headed down and stopped at Smokin Bones BBQ, I had a double steak burger with cole slaw and cornbread, the second patty is out of view....I finished it..
