Miller Motorsports Park

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that you can use the off-road facility at Miller Motorsports Park for $35.00 per day per vehicle. This offer is good 7 days a week unless there is an event happening on the course. If you want to test your new upgrades before your first trip to Moab or can't wait for the snow to thaw before you go wheelin, then head out to the park and get some wheeling in. If you are interested please call Mitch Wright at 435-277-8575. There is an added cost for other occupants or spotters of $5.00 each person.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Drove out there for the first time yesterday. It's only 5 minutes from my house. Looks very fun for an hour or two. Seems kind of pricey, but who knows. I wonder what it cost to build something like that.

I think it's worth it if you live nearby, or have friends to go with and test out new mods or your skills/courage....

who's in Tooele now? :D

I think they need to build a course in the ogden area. With all the millions of dollars that are put into skate parks across the state, I think that counties should invest our tax money into something that WE can use. I have about 10 skate parks within 10 mininutes of my house its rediculous.

I haven't seen it yet but $35 per vehicle with an additional $5 per rider/spotter seems pretty steep to me. My son ALWAYS goes with me so thats a minimum of $40 with the wife and daughter I'm at $50!! I'll continue to test my mods at the snakes!

Cedar City has a free place too, but not man-made. It's called Three Peaks and there are tons of obstacles. It's just the drive to those free places that makes a closer spot more appealing. For me, MMP is still an hour away, so not a big draw for me unless there is something going on.

I agree, the price they are asking is high:eek:. Is it owned by the Miller family?? If so sounds like new family managment needs more money in their pockets....

I don't think the price is high at all. I was expecting much more considering what it must have cost to build the course. Sure we can go out to the Snakes or Little Moab for free, but $35 is not a bad price to pay for a man made course that must have cost quite a bit to make. Especially one that has bathrooms, air hookups, emt's, food, etc . . .

I have paid for track time at MMP and at 2 other places (Road racing) and MMP is about 40% cheaper and 200% better. I'm honestly very impressed with everything that MMP has brought to us and am a huge fan.

I think they really sold me when they brought World Superbike to the USA (MMP is still the only stop in the USA). Now if Americans will just start following World Rally Championships enough to bring it back to the USA, all will be well :)

Isn't that where uroc was at? out west of town? I would much rather wheel on real rocks, but sometimes it would be nice to have a close place to go.

It is owner by the Millers. One big thing that I am sure drives up the cost is insurance.

When you look at the liability involved (despite waivers I am sure you would have to sign) I am pretty surprised they open not only the off-road but the rest of the track to the public.

Government run anything as much better legal protection than a private business.

They may have had a comp there (although I don't think so). You are probably thinking of the Rocky Mountain Speedway course, which is what UROC built and held several comps. The RMR course is in West Valley, the MMP is in Tooele.
