You're welcome to join either group. Like Mike said, group 2 is a bit smaller, but you're welcome to join either group.

Looks like we're up to about 16 in group 1. I think we could still take one on or two more if they're built rigs. This is going to be a fun trip.

if i can get a trailer for my rig, i think ill be heading up with the second group cause i wanna try out my rock lights also..

Cool. I'll move you over for the 2nd group. Just let me know if you decide to switch back. It doesn't matter what group you're in, I'm just trying to keep it organized and get a handle on how many people will be there in that group.

I've been thinking of getting one of those backpacking hammocks (like hennesy, etc), and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. I've got a great little tent, but I think AF canyon would be the perfect place to hang a hammock and sleep there. Lots of trees, a nice breeze, and it's the perfect temp up there. Any experience?

Less than two weeks away. I'm excited. I had a driver in group one drop out, so there's a spot if anyone else wants to join.

I'm so pumped. My truck is actually progressing right on schedule (knock on wood), and it should be done a few days before the 10th.

Did you get it started?? I have one of those backpacking hammocks and love it! I'll let you borrow it to give it a try if you want! Let me know!

Nah, still a couple days out. It doesn't have an exhaust, so I figured it'd be a bad idea to start it at 1 AM. I'll probably start it on Friday. I need to get the hydro assist hooked up before I start it, as well as the heater, and I need another fuel line. But it's getting close.

Yeah, I'd like to give it a try. How do you like yours? Does it replace your tent, or do you still tent-camp most of the time?

Usually I tent camp, but when I'm with the scouts or something I'll take it. It's amazingly comfy! But I'm a hammock lover. I had one 120' up in a tree at my house in Oregon. Also slept in one up in a tree in front of my apartment all summer at college (Ricks) here at the house I have a sweet hammock hanging that I bought in Mexico. Hand woven double layer! Its like a queen size hammock!
