Too funny, I heard about that rig earlier today through a friend in the auctions. It should have the lockers, sort've a gamble but who knows. What did it end up going for?

I've got a decent bodied FJ80 that would be a killer receipient of these axles (or just some ARB's). $2k and you can drive it home

I'd really take a close look at those axles, I've seen more than one bent set after a violent roll like that

My friend Ken and I called Andre to ask him some questions about this cruiser, and Andre said he was with you. Small world.:)

Doesn't have lockers, you got hosed.

I picked up the wreck today... it does have the lockers, and it looks like the axles are not in too bad of shape. I swung by cruiseroutfit's house on the way home and he said I dun good.

The axles will be going into this car which I bought today at the Las Vegas auction.

This one is a 96 LX450 with 110k on the clock. It's a theft recovery, but doesn't seem to be missing much...... just the right rear wheel.

If I can ask... how much? I like the idea. I'd love leather & e-locked axles for our '92.

I paid 500 plus auction fees for the wreck, and 3900 plus fees for the LX450. The auction activity seems noticeably down... probably because of the economy. I expected to pay more.

Wow, that's awesome. So the locked axles are going in the Lexus, which really needs no work? Man, I think you did real good.

The FZJ seems about the same size as a Tahoe, which could be another option. I just hate the weak IFS set up for exploration.

I thought that too, but my LX450 is about 3" shorter than my neighbor 1st gen Durango.

I wrecked my first LX450 a few years ago and rolled it 4 times going 80mph on I-15 by Smith & Edwards and walked away. I couldn't imagine what it would take to do that kind of damage to a Cruiser.

You made a good choice going with the lockers, I am very pleased that I got lockers the second time around.

Yeah, it never hit on it's roof, but that is more than a little frontend damage. According to witnesses and the police report I went down a 30ft emankment, hit a ditch and then rolled a total of four times out in a cow pasture. Luckily it landed on it feet every time. I don't really remember it, all I remember is getting out of the truck and then walking around the vehicle and popping the tailgate and waiting for emergency crews to come.

Moral of the story, don't sleep and drive.

I picked the rig up in Vegas this weekend. It was missing a tire, so I took down two good tires from the rollover, plus 2 rims that I was able to buy matching tires for down there. The only problem was, when I picked up the rig, not only was a wheel missing, but the studs were all broken as well. I had to get a tow truck (55 bucks) to haul it to a shop (3 blocks away) that charged me 135 bucks to replace the studs. After charging the battery, the rig started right up. I drove it to the tire shop and had the 4 16 inch wheels installed. The aftermarket wheels on it were 18 inch "Incubus recoils", and I had no clue where to get a fourth one, so I brought the wheels from the wreck down. I wanted to drive home with a matching set of wheels. 'Didn't know if the transfer case would hold up to driving 400 miles on mismatched tires.

The only problem was that one of the rims was slightly bent and wouldn't balance out very well. It caused the car to shake about 70 mph. So, I'm looking for a fourth rim like the one on the wreck

Anybody got one they want to sell?

Other than that, I think it was a good buy. I'm glad some of you concur.
