It turned out that the car was shaking because the rear axle was slightly bent. The right side showed two degrees toe out which had caused the rear tire to be worn to the cord on the inside. The bent axle couldn't have happened when the car was stolen. It would have taken a few thousand miles to destroy a tire like that. I picked up another axle housing at Pelican Auto Wrecking. We're putting it in tonight with the locking third member from the wrecked car. I'm wondering if the bent axle could have caused the left wheel to break all the studs?
