I Lean said:........Back to the discussion--who here has broken a Spicer 806-X Ujoint without breaking shafts first? I'm still running stock joints in the Yukon axles, since my last set were still fine after the Spicer shafts went bye-bye. I figure they're my weak link now, but I haven't found their breaking point yet.

That's good to know. So my inners will be my weak link, I guess?
I Lean said:My inners and 35 sp. outers both failed equally. (badly stretched ears)
Even with sales tax, I can beat $550 for the Yukon inner/outer shafts...$30 for the Spicer joints, I can't. Those would be $60 for the pair.Shawn said:So, for the price, after doing some research, it looks like Yukon inner/outers and spicer 5-806X joints is the ticket.
$555.00 for the shafts
$30.00 for the joints
$ for the slugs
Sweet...
That's about the only thing OX makes that I care for - their u joints. I personally have no experience with any of their products, but I hear lots of complaints about their lockers and no complaints about their joints. I sell the D44 for $125 and D60 for $225 each.Todd Adams said:We are running the Yukon inner and outer shafts with OX joints. They have held up well since last year with no problems. Used to break joints all the time. No one has mentioned OX as opposed to Yukon or CTM's. As far as I am concerned CTM's are over priced and according to reps I have talked with no stronger than Yukon or OX.

Ya, the $30.00 was for each. PM me the deal on the shafts alone.waynehartwig said:Even with sales tax, I can beat $550 for the Yukon inner/outer shafts...$30 for the Spicer joints, I can't. Those would be $60 for the pair.
I Lean said:Ya know, I'd 100% agree with that if I hadn't wheeled with Marc. I have NO idea how those stockers are still alive. I think he happened to get the two strongest stock shafts around.It's all about Karma/luck....It was HORRIBLE for toooooooo long, it is just my time to have some good karma/luck for a change:greg:
I have Yukons waiting, but I am waiting to break these first
