Inners and outers with CTM's............. oh my....

Thats why I went with bobby long u-joints. Try superiors and ctm's. I could of got the 60 birfs for close to the same price and with the birfs you get a 45*-48*smooth turning radius.

it couldnt be that hard because our still running stock

Ya know, I'd 100% agree with that if I hadn't wheeled with Marc. I have NO idea how those stockers are still alive. I think he happened to get the two strongest stock shafts around.

Back to the discussion--who here has broken a Spicer 806-X Ujoint without breaking shafts first? I'm still running stock joints in the Yukon axles, since my last set were still fine after the Spicer shafts went bye-bye. I figure they're my weak link now, but I haven't found their breaking point yet.

That's good to know. So my inners will be my weak link, I guess?

My inners and 35 sp. outers both failed equally. (badly stretched ears)

I've got the Yukon 35 spline outers....... I was just going to use the stock inners, but maybe I should rethink that after this thread.

We are running the Yukon inner and outer shafts with OX joints. They have held up well since last year with no problems. Used to break joints all the time. No one has mentioned OX as opposed to Yukon or CTM's. As far as I am concerned CTM's are over priced and according to reps I have talked with no stronger than Yukon or OX.

I haven't heard anything about the yukon super joints. There is a guy on PBB BLOWING away yukon inners and outers with joints for an amazing price!

So, for the price, after doing some research, it looks like Yukon inner/outers and spicer 5-806X joints is the ticket.

$555.00 for the shafts
$30.00 for the joints
$:p for the slugs

Sweet...

Even with sales tax, I can beat $550 for the Yukon inner/outer shafts...$30 for the Spicer joints, I can't. Those would be $60 for the pair.

That's about the only thing OX makes that I care for - their u joints. I personally have no experience with any of their products, but I hear lots of complaints about their lockers and no complaints about their joints. I sell the D44 for $125 and D60 for $225 each.

Ya, the $30.00 was for each. PM me the deal on the shafts alone.
