Since this seems to have turned into a general gripe about big brother, let me toss another one out there.

Why is it I have to now show up in person to renew my drivers license to prove I'm not an illegal alien? I see a lot of formerly uninsured, now unlicensed illegal aliens on the road in the future.

The bill wouldn't go into affect until after Jan 1 2012 so it looks like we'll have to pay till then anyways.

We just paid $200 for UPD...
When some thieves busted my truck window out last friday and my neighbors escalade and h2 windows out they wouldn't even send an officer...
It's not like whoever did it doesn't have fingerprints or isn't a repeat offender...

Well, Carl, states are a subdivision of the Federal entity, be careful with that logic, Mr. States' Rights.

It's baaaaaack. Just got my notice in the mailbox, "police tax" is back.

But at least now it is properly labeled as a tax and part of your property taxes... oh and the average homeowner is saving $22/year versus the old system.

Eagle Mountain pays the County for Police services and Saratoga Springs has their own police (they also provide services for Bluffdale). There is not a police line on the city bill.
