.....Wow! Is this trail getting eroded!!!! Anyone ran it recently? It's been nearly 2 years for me and last time I ran it there were pretty much no obstacles before Rocker Knocker. NOW! there are several really good ones. Also, the new entrance they blasted smooth is no longer smooth, it's ledges again.

I'm starting to think someone needs to go in there and try to stop some of the erosion or in ~2 more years it will be impassable - literally. Last time I ran it, those spots weren't there or at least not this bad.

Those that are going out tomorrow night will see what I mean if they don't know yet.... It's definately earning that 8 rating now! :D

Erosion is good! Obstacles are good!

Gawd! Everyone complains that trails get all buffed out, and here's one getting harder, and STILL complaining!

:D

it's been eroding and changing for 40 years. dollars to donuts says it'll still be passable in 2 years....just maybe not to the riff-raff that don't belong on it anyway.

we ran it last fall, and I remember people saying that it was just a road till Rocker Knocker. I remember thinking I was a girl, cuz I thought there was stuff i would have called obstacles way before the knocker.

I am still a puss:rofl: but lad someone else thinks they are obstacles too!

So, I've never completed this trail. Is it even feasible that I could run it on 33's and just a rear locker? Or should I stick to my old mining roads?

as long as you don't mind the possibility of breaking parts, body damage, or clogging up a trail with your broken down rig...

I think with a good amount of strap time, good spotting/driving, you could get through it... But i don't think 33's and a rear locker meet the suggested equipment requirements for this trail.

If you're not to proud to hook up a strap over 3 spots you might be okay. Your rockers will take a beating. Don't even try Rocker Knocker or the Rock Pile (or bypass) and I'd think twice about the hill before the Rock Pile.

I like to run pritchett every year and it's far worse than i remember it the first time i ran it (5yrs ago?). The first time i ran it with my YJ locked on 35s i only got stuck once, high centered. I had to bypass rocker knocker.

it's gotten so bad since that now my YJ stretched on 37s can conquer it, but it's very difficult. with that said i've seen little jeeps on 33s, even a unimog conquer it.

Now there is a hill climb before rocker knocker that is real hard and scary. It reminds me very much of potato salad hill. While i made it up, it was a white knuckle affair. i watched a buggy come after me that got off the trail and was stuck, nearly rolling over.

when i ran Pritchett last spring my neighbor with his TJ on 33s ran it with us and he needed the strap several times. All he had was a LSD in the rear. he made the whole trail though with some patience and a good attitude. this was his 2nd time trying it. the first time he broke a rear driveline and i towed him out of there with my Frontier.

sufficient to say i would tell you to run the trail but only if you have steely nerves and don't mind a rollover or damage. And if the trail is real crowded then avoid it, because congestion can keep you there all day and you don't want to be the guy holding everyone up.

Rollovers don't buff out! I think that the last time I was on the trail was almost 10 years ago and it wasn't bad then. I just didn't know what I was trying to do on Rocker Knocker ;)

35's here I come!
