and rockpile and rocker knocker.

I always came down rockpile backwards...I was too big of a sissy girl to drive down it forwards. Coming down rocker knocker can be interesting too...

I no longer drive down rockpile anymore... I get tired of changing my britches.

Just hit the gas if anything starts to go wrong. I'd rather drive down it forward than backward.

well, when you are extremely front heavy, and you don't have 90* entrance angle in front, backwards feels much better.

is that what you did when you were on the run after the cops threatened to take away your stash?

If we could all only be like you

I've been wheeling over 20 years and anyone that tells me Pritchett doesn't get their adrenaline up is full of it:D

I never said it wasn't exciting....just 20 years ago, perspective was different and so was the trail....it was not as difficult as it is now, but respective to the rigs, it is about the same....The biggest tire back then you saw in Moab was a 35!

I just depends on what you drive, and your level of experience and/or threshold for risk. Pritchett isn't the hardest trail around you know.

In my old rig, it was a walk in the park. I could go from the parking area, to the top of Yellow Hill in 30 minutes without any problems or even spinning a tire (ok, actually I spun lots of tires on that one but only because I was hauling ass ;) )

In lots of other rigs, it would be challenging and could get your adrenaline up. I think driving a rig that you don't want to destory and/or you have to drive home would probably make it a little more stressful. In Meat's case, the world would be a better place if that abortion took a tumble into the bottom of the canyon and was unsalvagable so I'm sure he wasn't too worried about what could potentially happen to his rig on that trail.

Also, think of it like this. Some people are desensitized towards hard terrain. I remember the first time I went to Moab I was scared shitless of the tip-toe around Hells Revenge---and absolutley terrified of Dump Bump. A few years later I just laugh at myself. Don't you think that people that have run pritchet 50-200 times, and have also been involved in competitive rockcrawling for years, might not find that trail particularly adrenaline inspiring?

FWIW, my Dad has been wheelin for 40 years, and I took him on PSM in my buggy and he almost had a heart atack. I don't really care how long you've been wheelin, it's all relative to the type of wheelin and the types of rigs you've had. it's all fun.

When you get your driver's front tire wedged in that crack, you will feel like you're going to tip over into that big rock, but you shouldn't. The drivers front tire should grab traction and pull you up the crack, and level your rig out. Driving straight up, kinda where Cody is should get you to slowly walk your rig sideways over into the crack. It might take a few times to get lined up just righ to get that tire where it needs to be.. We noticed it was better if you can manage to get your rear pass. tire up the ledge, then slowly walk the rig to the left, and into that crack. We walked right up it using that line. Atleast it worked for us that trip.. a year ago i think.. What a fun obsticle!

ya, just nice and smooth-the first few times it will feel worse than it looks.

And start 2 feet further to the right than you think you should and do a little shimmy shimmy action over until you're in the right spot. LWB guys that know the line are fun to watch because they'll crab walk like 4 feet over until they are in the right spot.
