Do you still have the dpf on your truck?

yes, I don't want to do a tuner or delete the egr or dpf until my warranty is up. I know I could just return it to stock if it needed work, but I get to lazy an with my luck, they would find out easily an I would get screwed. I usually only drive my truck around 600 miles a month so it's not like I drive it a lot.

FYI... There are no longer delete kits or tuners with the delete programming option on the market due to the aggressive stance of the EPA in recent months. H&S, Edge and all the rest have pulled their "off road tuning"

They can be found if you search hard enough.

They can still sell the tuners though right? So do they have to take out the option of deleting the dog on the tuners? I don't know how they are set up so forgive me if that is a dumb question. And would a dog delete pipe be easy to make? I guess it might be hard to get that size piping.

H&S has just released a street tuner that does not have the DPF delete option. Edge and the other manufacturers have never offere DPF delete. As of right now, they are not allowed to distribute the off-road version that allows for DPF delete.

In all reality you will never see any significant mileage increase as long as the DPF is installed and you are probably going to have problems if you try and increase power with all the emissions crap on there.

Agreed. I am not all that smart or anything but, where is the line drawn for emissions? It would seem to make sense to me that if you can drive your vehicle further on a gallon of Diesel versus burning more Diesel to go the same distance but, emitting less harmful contaminates something is amiss there. I don't know where the line is drawn but, it makes sense to me to have a vehicle that does better on fuel rather than putting contaminates into the air.

All in all I am very happy with the modifications I have done to gain me more mileage. I wish I could get more but, it is better than it was stock by quite a big margin.

Spartan still has a dpf delete programmer for the 6.4 IMHO they make the best tunes the ford. It makes it a completely different truck if anyone is on the fence I would highly recommend pulling the trigger.

Thats who I was most likely going to go with once I did do the delete. Maybe I should buy all the parts for the truck from them before the EPA tries to get them also.

If you are interested in a H&S DPF delete for the 6.7 Cummins, the place I ordered mine from has about 50 left in stock and told me they are selling about 1 per hour. If you want one, you have very little time to get one.

Been emailing spartan, told me today that they have 100 units in stock and have no clue whats going to happen once they are all gone, for the dpf delete and tuner set up, might just have to get my set up a little earlier. My warranty isn't through the manufacturer, some third party set up and it is a very limited warranty, found this out when I had my trans temp sensor go bad. So even if I did the set up, it might not affect much on what is covered. The biggest problem for me is that it would take about 4 years to pay for itself since I don't drive the truck much, in another year and a half I will be driving it more since I will be going to the U, and hopefully soon I will be towing my blazer around, so that would all help out with having it pay for it self.

Buy it used if you can find one. I bought mine from a guy in bountiful for $300 and that included 4" down pipe back exhaust I had to pay spartan another $100 to relicense it. I went from getting 9-10 mpg to 14-15 (f-450) the best I have got was 16.5 empty coming home from flaming gorge. Honestly the best decision I have made and wouldn't think twice about doing it again if you do it plan on an intake as well I can pull the filter minder in with a brand new filter. I will keep my eye open on Spartans forum for you if you'd like.

Did you find it on ksl or the Spartan forum?
I was getting gas next to him at a gas station and started talking to him about his truck. He was trading it in that week so he returned it back to stock and I took his stuff. If you buy used make sure the truck is returned to stock.

ah, looking at the spartan forum, looks like everyone wants new prices for their used stuff, at least from the past sales that have been posted.

The spacers for the rear duals showed up yesterday and the tires were supposed to be delivered then as well. But, there was some sort of a hold up on the tires and they are on the truck for delivery today. As soon as I can I will take a picture of them. I know that I do not post up enough pictures for y'all.

Here is a picture of the spacers. New wheels are being shipped out today so, I won't have them mounted until next week sometime. The tire pictures file is too large and it won't let me load them. I hate being computer stupid.
