Lmao Tyson you crack me up!!! Hey kranberry, try some of that Radiator sealant. I used that in the jeep, and it worked great, think I did on another vehicle too, but can't remember. As for the rear end, you knew you needed to put the 5:29s in anyway, so that can't be a big deal. Does look better with the black around the bottom tho

Its not a leak like around the hose clamp, the hose has to be the stock hose and I almost put my finger threw that. It's not even a major hose either it's an inch wide, right under the intake. I used it on my jeep and it worked great too. I was there when you put that stuff in to, little tube of sand like stuff. Yea it looks way slick with the black paint. Haha Tyson but I am not sure I am gonna be joining flavor of the week club just yet. Started pulling my third tonight, after I pulled the shaft and removed all the carrier nuts I went to jack it up and broke my little floor jack, oops. So for now I am at a stand still till I can find a neighbor to let me borrow real quick. When I drained it I saw quite a bit of little metal chunks coming out, I almost wanna strain it and see all the pieces but soon enough I will see the full damage.

this interested me. i think the entire carrier moved, dunno how else this would happen, kinda stumped me, and by the looks of the carrier it did move.

When I sold my lj the kid that bought it called me a few weeks later and asked if I was having problems with the rear end. I hadn't had any problems and the gears were only 15 months old but when he took the diff cover off there were 13 teeth missing but there was no metal chunks or shavings in there at all. Weird!

that sounds more fishy than weird, where would those metal chunks go! Someone would of had to taken them out, I don't think even a Dana 60 could grind up some of the chunks I have, and those will devour metal for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Thirds Done, I was able to re use the solid spacer I shouldn't re have this problem...knock on wood. Trucks all put back together and I think I pulled a muscle in my Lowe back somewhere in the process of putting it all together. Tomorrow gotta clean garage and take her for a test drive.

haha, I have the same lower back pain as I read this, and I just installed a third tonight. Apart from the engine, a toy third is probably the single heaviest part of the truck :D
