Bodine, I will admit that was hilarious however it could have be done without the racist remark. You took a good point and threw it out the window when you made it appear "red neck and uneducated".

Dont get me wrong. I have a little racism in me too. I have found through my own experience in college that you have to be a minority these days or an ex-con to get financial assistance. If that makes me racist then i guess I am, but I dont go around calling people who get tuition assistance "The N word".

No, calling Obama "Osama" is a little racist. I am no Obama lover but referring to him as the person who made the largest terrorist attack on our soil is a little over the top and its a play on his name. If his name was Bob and he was a white guy from Kentucky, chances are he wouldnt have referred to him as such.

So by that reasoning, it's racist to call Mrs. Clinton "Hitlery"???

It is not racist to make a play on someone's name just because they're black. That's the kind of thinking that scares me.

You dont have a "Dont care" option.

I am not voting this year. My vote doest count anyway since I am not a right-wing bible thumping republican and the state we live in is.

I think they are all liars and thieves and they wont make any changes unless it suits them financially. I could go on and on with my opinions but it doesnt matter, my one lonely voice wouldnt ever get heard no matter what cute catchphrase P-Diddy or Nicole Ritchie or some other hollywood crack slut ever comes up with.

I wont vote for a president who thinks his christian beliefs are his foreign policy. Or a person who thinks it is wrong for a girl who got raped and impregnated by her father to have an abortion.
Or a person who wants to take money from my pocket to give it to a lazy bum who accepted the lower end of life but wants all the nicer things without having to work for them.

The system is screwed up and it always will be, I refuse to even waste my time with it.

So you aren't going to vote huh. Well thats fine, to each his own. but in the end if you don't vote you don't have the right to complain about our president. Even if your vote doesn't count at least it gives you the right to be upset over the out come.

Personally I vote for McCain, I come from a long line of Republicans and until we have another party that has a decent candidate and will stick up for what I want thats how I vote.

Well maybe it isnt full on racism like curb-stomping a NAACP rep while screaming N*GG*R! but it is still a little racist like saying the housing problem is a "minority" problem.

I guess its just tasteless in my opinion its like calling Joseph Smith "Hitler". It isnt racist either but the reference is a low blow especially for a person who is trying to do some good to this country (weather or not everyone agrees). Again I am not standing up for Obama, just the point.

I don't hate Osama because of his enthnicity. I hate his ass because he's a terrorist and kills people in cold blood. What does race have to do with that? Assuming the "osama obama" is negative because of it's implication of race is in and of itself racist.

at any rate, I'll vote for McCain because of A) environmental policy and B) the house and senate are already democrat. If either of those were different it would change my outlook on this election.

I don't care if you vote for a third party or Barack Hussein Obama, you should still vote. People that say they aren't going to vote make me question their core. This is a right as an American and your friends, brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, etc have fought and died to protect this right. So quit being a pussy and just vote.

Not completely directed to you Beerman, but everyone with the same 'not voting' opinion as you. I like you as a person, but I think it's stupid that you won't excersize your liberties as an American and vote.

It might be tasteless and tacky to call Obama "Osama", but it's not racist.

I object to Obama on the issues, not on his skin color. It's 2008 in most of the world.

As for the whole "if you dont' vote you can't complain", well, in UT it doesn't matter much. Personally, I think it's about time to upgrade the electoral system, maybe to "proportionate votes" instead of "winner-take-all".

I don't even vote in Utah I vote in Oregon and guess what, it's a democrat state with all the tree loving hippies in western Oregon. I'm still voting even if it won't "Count" in the end. To me it counts and to the American way of life it counts, as well to all of my brothers and sisters in arms over in the sand box right now, who I will be joining soon. Not voting is like wiping your A** with the constitution.

I guess you guys make a good point.

I think Obamas socialist ideas are weird, but making a woman carry her baby after being raped is a bit weird too.

I am strongly against both so my vote is like voting for the "Punch a baby in the face OR kick a baby in the face" idea:rofl:

I dont think it makes me UNAMERICAN to also practice my right to Not vote if I dont feel either party deserves my vote. Not that it matters.

I guess i could always write in "Mickey Mouse" on my punch card!

Continues to crack me up to hear the same old "if you don't vote, you can't complain" card being played. Of course I can complain because I don't like either one and won't vote for either in Utah. And even if I did, our genius electoral college makes it mute.

As Tacoma says, we should at least go to a proportional system and then it would be worth it to do such. But until then, the reality is unless you live in one of the 10 or so swing states, your vote is worthless.

For the record, you bet your ass I'd be voting if I lived in one of em...because as much as I don't like McCain, I think Obama is a straight commie and will be worse.

But you can thank our founding-fathers wonderful insight in making the presidential vote meaningless in most states.

Hey Bodine Bin Laden, this racist sh!t is getting OLD!!!

WOW I like how people who don't even know who I am or what I stand for can take something that WAS NOT meant to be taken as racism and turn me into a racist YOU DONT EVEN KNOW ME how about finding out some facts or asking some questions before you judge me or anyone else for that matter! and before you do that put your wide angle big picture goggles and your thick skin suit on.
That stuff was just sent to me I didn't write it I also didn't see the racism in it mostly due to the fact I was not looking for it if I got upset at a fraction of the things I was called everyday I would be pissed all the time.
What I did see was someone (a frickin ant) who worked hard and did the right things only to have some irresponsible whiner turn around and take it all away with the governments help thats what I saw and IMO thats what Obama will do.

Never mind the FACT that what was said was NOT RACIST.

See post #27. No one called him a n****r, or any similar thing. He was called "Osama", which is a lowbrow play on both his name, and his ties to possible terrorists. :D

But it's not racist. :D
