rme trail ride during ejs

I'm interested. I have never done pritchett at night, but why not up rockpile then back? It isn't that much further is it? Anyways, I'm in.

The best is when you reach rockpile or yellow hill right at the sunset and drive back out in the dark.

That sounds neat. I bet the views are spectacular with the sun setting in that canyon. I've only been there in daylight hours. In the dark I bet its a whole new trail. Looking forward to this!

Our plan was to run start in about 6pm or so, go until whenever, turn around and hope to make it out before the next morning. I to have only run in during the day and that was about 8-9 years ago, we came across a group holding everyone up for a couple of hours at Rockerknocker ( I won't mention names  seeing as they are all friends now) who did not care about the 100 plus rigs stuck behind them :-\

Last year my son and some of the W.E.ROCK competitors made a simular night run, I think they went in about 10pm or later and were back out around 2-3am

I would imagin that we will attract a couple of buggies on this run as well... but I will assure everyone that it will be a very behaved group for drivers

Gonna have to pack some warm clothes, I'm betting that it's gonna get cold in that canyon at night. :) This is going to be great!

We did Pritchett at night one year after a big rain storm and under a full moon. There was running water down the wash and the rocks glowed from the moonlight. It was pretty awesome. Lots of dana 44 parts were killed that night though.

I'm in the same boat... I'd have to make it back to my trailer.

I have made that drive into town on the highway twice, COLD COLD COLD at 55 and no windshield! A little scarey too with no plates!

Damn the peer pressure! Count the lovely Lemon Joy in for Tuesday night. :guilty: I can't stand the idea of something fun without us so I just extended our reservation through Wednesday the 19th.

Think I should tell my husband or let it be our little secret...

I knew it would get the best of you. :D Don't tell him, let him pack everything up on tuesday and then say "Suprise!"

I like Herzog's thoughts on hitting Yellow Hill right around sunset. I'm of the mindset that if we're out there already, let's start a bit earlier and run the whole trail. ;)
