Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks. I sent my father to you on monday to pick me up a limiting strap and some fab tabs. (I don't make it down your way much since I am in Logan) He said that every one there was very helpful and very nice. Got him what he needed and even showed him around a bit, and showed him the buggy that was being repaired from a roll over. He was very impressed, and thus so was I. I look forward to doing much more business with you in the future. :)

:rolleyes: I've had thousands of dollars (literally) quoted from Rocklogic and they have always been either right on or below their quote...and when they are below their quote they do not charge the full quote. I am sure it was their full intention to mis-quote you...I am sure there is a missing piece to the puzzle :rolleyes:

If you want to start a bash on Rocklogic theme then you are in the wrong sport...

nope, I meant what I said...there are very few in this sport that have actually delt with RL that will say anything bad about them. Anytime I have heard of RL messing up and it being their fault, they have quickly fixed their error. A guy on PBB just recently said they weren't able to get an Assist kit to him wen they said they would because of vendor issues, to help make up for it they shipped it for free. They back-up what they say, sell, make, etc thats why I have to say there is prolly a missing part to the puzzle.

I'm not going to start a pissing match, but I have spoke to a few that would dissagree. Unfortunately, this being a high supported board of RL, not many speak their mind becase they know they will be bashed on. I'm under a close eye on this subject so I'm done.

so is PBB a supported board of RL??? How come whenever they are mentioned over there, there is nothing but praises for them? I could name a few that dont lke RL too, but its for obvious reasons they dont like them. I'm not starting a pissing match, I just think its funny when people get all bent out of shape because of likely something that was their own fault.

You're right, they quoted me a price on a draglink and then when I had them build it today they charged me LESS

The funny thing about Rocklogic and myself is I did not know any of the guys there before they were Rocklogic. First time I went to them they were out of Carl's garage and they treated me fairly. Even to this day I still shop around but for some strange reason (ok, so its not too strange) I always end up back at Rocklogic. So basically I support them because they are a great business, not because I have been buddies with them for a long time (cause I really haven't), I do consider them to be friends now though...

Anyone who puts up with my inane questions AND doesn't laugh right at me for building the retarded sh*t I have planned is A-OK with me.

What was the situation?

I must admit there have been a time or two that I have given a bad quote out... Vendors change their prices so much (especially with the steel & fuel situations) that I all of a sudden face big charges. ARB for example, they have raised their prices ~ 20% in the last couple years, that is ALOT. I have ordered parts through other companies, and been mis-quoted on either the price and or the shipping date (shipping happens ALL THE TIME). And when I don't get the product as promised, I can ship it to the customer as promised, hurts when you can't deliver as quoted. For that reason I try to stock as much as possible, but that will inevitably bring costs up as you sit on alot of stale parts (I probably have ~$20k in new parts, 95% Landcruiser specific).

Rocklogic has been a great business for a business like myself to deal with, I have always appreciated their promptness, customer service, and knowledge.

Rock Logic is a serviced based company and with any service based company there is always someone who is not happy. Ask the guys that work there...I bet more then a few times they have had people come in and get pissy about something. Its just the way buisness work. What you have to look at is a long time track record. If a hundred people say they suck it doesn't mean anything if they have a million people say they are great.

Seems to me that their track record is pretty good. I have bought a few small things from them and have never been disapointed.
