...That said I picked up some new batteries today! I’ve ran these in the past with great results. They’re CAT pn: 230-6368 with 850 cca’s. Much heavier than the dying Super Start ‘extreme’ batteries they replaced. Truck cranks over much faster now

So what’s going on with these front leaf springs? Is this supposed to be a leveling kit that was put on the top of the springs instead of the bottom? Or did it come from the factory like this 🤔

I’m strongly considering running 315’s. Thinking I could flip these to the bottom of the leaf pack to get the clearance I’d need.. good idea or no?

I was in hopes of driving the west side of the lake through the Hogups, on to lakeside then ending up in Delle. I don’t ever remember there being this many gates.. With orange ribbons tied to them I decided It would be best to turn around and search for another way. No luck.. which is too bad because I was so close.

I zig-zagged through the Hogups and made my way towards home. The truck didn’t skip a beat and there was one point where I needed to lock in the hubs. Deep mud in the middle of nowhere had me worried but she plowed through it surprisingly well.

Good times

I've been up and down the Hogups a couple times and never ran into a gate. Those must be recent.

I don't think I've ever seen those cabins up there, where was that at?

Where did you source these? I need some in my Cummins

CAT doesn’t list their batteries by group size so I had do do a fair bit of googling to figure out which ones would fit. The batteries I bought are the same dimensions as a group 65.

With my IDI I just took a battery into the store and picked one that was the same dimensions. Can’t remember which ones fit that truck..

Anyway I bought these from Wheeler CAT here in Logan. They were $130 apiece. Hope that helps.

That's helpful, I couldn't find the group size/info online, now I know why. That is a good price. Thanks

Super happy with my new truck. After three days exploring the Swell and the long drive to and from I had no issues to report. I made a makeshift platform of sorts for the back seat so I could sleep back there. Stayed warm and comfy all night!

I need to figure out an intake. Right now I have an open element 6637 without a filter sock and it is CAKED in dust after this trip! Thinking an S&B with a paper element and sock would be the ticket..
