I bought my Hummers (I have an H3 also) because they are great all around rigs. I drive mine comfortably to Moab.... wheel all week and drive it home. To prepare to wheel just means lowering the tire pressure and turning up the shocks.
I have three kids that I take wheelin' with the wife and I, with the youngest in a car seat, so that pretty much put me in a full sized rig.
I get enough crusty looks from the greenies to last me..... so I appreciate the open minded 4x4 owners who can see past the propaganda the greenies put out about my rig.
The truth is.... IFS does limit the big sucker in the rocks, but I find the truck surprises a lot of wheelers. It is more capable than most thought it was. It won't be running Helldorado anytime soon....... but that's OK with me.
When you care about the sheet metal.....it adds stress.
