I bought my Hummers (I have an H3 also) because they are great all around rigs. I drive mine comfortably to Moab.... wheel all week and drive it home. To prepare to wheel just means lowering the tire pressure and turning up the shocks.

I have three kids that I take wheelin' with the wife and I, with the youngest in a car seat, so that pretty much put me in a full sized rig.

I get enough crusty looks from the greenies to last me..... so I appreciate the open minded 4x4 owners who can see past the propaganda the greenies put out about my rig.

The truth is.... IFS does limit the big sucker in the rocks, but I find the truck surprises a lot of wheelers. It is more capable than most thought it was. It won't be running Helldorado anytime soon....... but that's OK with me. ;)

When you care about the sheet metal.....it adds stress. :D

Simply BAD-A$$!!! I like the pic of you climbing escalator with all the other hummer's in the background parked like they want no part in running that obstacle!!!

Nice job. It is good to see such an expensive vehicle getting used as the marketing folks intended. The folks in charge of marketing make the Hummer brand seem like it is the do all, go any where vehicle, and yet, very few choose to use them that way. Way to go!!

Thanks LT.

I personally think the Hummer marketing folks ought to be shot in the face. :D

I blame them for not talking enough about the abilities of the vehicle and catering to the MTV, blingy chrome, giant wheel with paper thin rubber, grill wearing goofballs. Their marketing sucked.

IMO it was that impression that hurt this vehicle brand more than any other.

Proof that a sqaure peg fits into a round hole

A light foot helps, but putting a rig of that size through escalator takes serious talent

Nice rig thats for sure!

Just got home from wheeling around in Colorado.

While spending time riding Harley's around and boating in Denver (I grew up there)...... we still managed to find the time to take the truck wheelin' up Red Cone.

Nothing too difficult so we left the street tires and wheels on. Had some good old fashioned squeezing between Colorado pines though.

One of the coolest parts of that run was having these Mountain goats let us know we were on their mountain top........They just came right up and crowded us right out.

From there it was on to Ouray, Silverton, Telluride.

The trails there are really easy but the mountain views are among the best on the continent........and I am a crappy photographer.

Don't judge me too hard here........I only let them have the Mohawks over the summer.......they're going to have to come off during the school year.

The funny part of the mohawks was the Mountain Goats .......... Those goats seemed oblivious to the presence of all the wheelers and trucks and just came walking right up to us........but they saw those Mohawks as a threat! My oldest kid kinda moved his head like a bull in a bullfight and the mountain goats acted like it was on! We had to give them their mountain top back.

Love your H2. Love the pics. I also seem to get a ton of crap from people over my H3. I'm not a rock crawler but I love the back country. I want some things done on it but I also have to keep it pretty basic as it is still my daily commuter. Can you give me ideas on what you've done to your H3?? I want sliders. I'm also thinking of the light cowls that go on the faux "snorkels". I also am a jarhead ;)
