Short answer is stability. The shocks will work better with more angle since at full droop they’re likely extended past vertical which causes weird unloading. Also, the fronts appear to be mounted wider on the axle which will make the front have to work harder to flex while the rear will just allow the whole car to lean. A lot of people make that mistake and then add a rear sway bar to correct it. I’ve heard it explained a few times by people that are infinitely more knowledgeable than me and that was always my take-away.

I have to make a panel for the rear to hold my license plate and I already cracked the polycarbonate sheet I was working on. In the back of my mind is a ridiculous folding tailgate for that spot, but that would take me a week to finish.

Funny story this reminded me of... first time I took my buggy to sand hollow I threw a tab on there for the flag about the same height as yours. Drove through the tunnel with the flag up thinking it'd just bend over and pop back up, and I snapped it off ha 🤦‍♂️

So anyway, I love this thing and I’m definitely keeping it. Kevin Boren pushed me to drive it way more places than I intended or even thought it could go.



I need to adjust the seats forward (slide rails?) because I have short little man legs and can't fully depress the clutch when I'm on steep climbs. The throttle also needs some adjustment, as it's way too sensitive currently. Lastly, I had a steering failure on Sunday. I'm thinking there is an internal issue with the orbital valve. The splines on the steering shaft stripped after dealing with too much resistance. I tacked it in place and lots of banging noises ensued whenever changing directions, but it was enough to get it back to the trailer.



The steering shaft setup needs to be changed.



Overall, I'm quite happy with the buggy.
