With the God sent rain, AF canyon might be open and I would prefer that over 5mile, just cause it is much closer. Closer=more wheeling time.

Again though, I am good either way. It will just be nice to get out and wheel. It has been too long since I have gone.

Mineral Basin is looking good. KSL makes it sound like today is the last day of the AF Canyon evacuation. I'll keep this updated as it gets nearer.

dang i would be in to wheel with some people that i have never wheeled with, but since yesterday i blew out my 3rd, and probably wont be getting it fixed in time. have fun you guys..

not on ww, i blew it up on eagles nest. and i need a full new 9" rear to get it back up and running. all the gears and rings and everything is in perfect condition. i blew up the outer casing. i have been told it's a normal thing for those fords

I'm definitely down for mineral basin. It'll give me more if a chance to get familiar with the trail for the august night run. Where would we be meeting? And this is 6 pm right?

If it's Snakes I vote morning. If it's evening I vote Mineral Basin. I'll have to talk my wife into going up that rough road, but I may be able to make it happen. I'll also have to do fender trimming tomorrow (hooray!).

It's going to have to be evening, sorry folks. I didn't get my sliders all the way installed last night, so I need to do that on Saturday.

I'm in meetings all day. Could someone call the PG ranger station to see if AF Canyon is opened yet, particularly Mineral Basin trail?

Let me know what you hear.

I can't seem to get through on the phone, I keep getting the busy signal which means they are probably super busy answering questions right now. As of right now it still seems to be closed. Here is a link to the special order. http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5378388.pdf

I'd send Kathy Polluck an email but I'm sure she is super swamped with the same questions right now. I'll try calling again in a while if I get a chance.

Looks like a 6PM meet at the chevron where you and I stopped on our way in the other day if you look at the poll options.

thanks Brian. The ksl story on the alpine fire states that the paves roads are open but the trails are closed. Lets Jeep our fingers crossed that mineral basin is open today or tomorrow.

Thanks Brian. I will be working on my truck all day, probably right up to the moment we go wheeling (as usual). I need to install my sliders on the morning then my rock lights in the afternoon. I could sure use a hand. Feel free to swing by anytime tomorrow.
