I'm guessing he means the one in Highland at the corner of the Highland Highway (hwy 92) and the Alpine Highway (hwy 74). Is this correct? If so, it is called the Kountry Korner Chevron and its address is 5260 W 11000 N in Highland.

BTW: when is Chevron gonna start sponsoring this web site?!?

Man, i am excited for this run. It has been way to long since I have been out! I really need to run AF canyon more. It is so close with so many great places to check out.

Ya. I really want to get out more: I have been in the works to plan a weekend long trip to Moab to just do some easy trails and some camping. That and more stuff up AF canyon. I neglect that place to much for what it has to offer!


I am done with the hard stuff till I can get a tow rig.

You'll be fine with your rig. My friend Kristy will be there in her Tj on 35s, atlas, d60s front and rear, lockers front and rear. Nobody in our group has bigger than 35" tires.

Oh I know I'll be fine. Just looking for ideas lol. Always looking. I like the idea of being able to gauge my rig with someone else similar. A few weeks ago brian and I ran this trail and a silver tj joined us and he had a much harder time then I did. He was locked in the rear and I the front and a while before I got my locker I couldn't decide between front or rear. This made me glad of my choice.

That guy was an idiot. He was stubborn and impatient and refused to listen to me. Not to mention the 6 year old in the back seat with no seat belt. I could have gotten a bone stock TJ through that spot he couldn't make it up if he would just listen.

You on the other hand were willing to listen to me and and put your tires where they needed to be when they needed to go there. There is a huge difference between a guy who isn't the most experienced but will listen vs a guy who really doesn't have a clue what he is doing, won't listen and drives with his pride in mind. He had no driving skill and just kept trying to hammer it over everything.

I still personally feel you made the right choice with the locker up front but that is a debate for another thread with many opinions and there are advantages to both.

Like thet say, 90% driver, 10% vehicle.

And for the record, i agree with dukit. I think a locker up front gets better traction than a rear locker.
