Is it a D35 or D44 rear? I wouldn't bother regearing a 35, but a 44....

If you ditch the fenders I can't say enough good about the Motobilt units on my boy's TJ. I think KSL had a stock hood height set on there right now too? Yup found them:

I have mostly forgotten I owned this thing all summer but she’s getting closer to paint. I have a bunch of travel this month but I’m hoping to have color on by October. I picked up Torch red Urethane single stage paint for it.

Well, I ended up quitting my job last fall and taking some time off to ski and then started back at work this spring and the TJ kinda got put on the sidelines for ski season. But I finally started laying some paint today. Sprayed the windshield frame, the cowel, and the rear tailgate jam. Hopefully I’ll get the rest of the jeep sprayed tomorrow just didn’t have room to do it all in one shot..
