Honestly if there are people out there that feel their guns are at risk of being used improperly by somebody with access to them- this is the answer. Even if they had a change of heart and think guns are THE DEVIL now, also fine. I don't care.

Sacramento just had a buy back. They collected 134 "weapons" . From their press release

"Among the firearms received was at least one assault weapon, numerous components for privately manufactured firearms (ghost guns), and multiple other illegally configured firearms. "

So they got exactly what Spork is suggesting. Also one of the reasons people listed as turning in guns was "lack of knowledge of the legality of the firearms" . When asked if they were checking to see if any were stolen and if so would they be returned to their lawful owner, they declined to comment.

More Federal manipulation of the energy market...might be good for corn farmers.

Last Friday the Biden administration raised the mandatory amount of biofuel, specifically ethanol, that must be blended within the U.S. gasoline supply. The previous amount of 10% (summer blend) was raised to a year-round 15%

I guess that will also drive prices higher

Pretty sure that isn't 100% accurate. The government can't mandate a year round 15% blend without major pushback from multiple groups. What was passed was the volume mandate that coincides with our current demand, but there is a provision that allows more 15% blends, but not a mandate. There are very few gas stations that can safely dispense E15, and I don't know of any in Utah. It mostly affects the Midwest states.
