Oh? Is Dale Earnheardt gonna be there? Yeah, it's a bit much for one day.

I agree...thats WAY expensive IMO...I was planning on being there for Fri-Sun but for that price I seriously doubt I will...a day MAYBE two will be all I will go for...

You guys that would rather golf should probably stop talking about suporting the sport. Yes the price has gone up compared to being out in the sticks but now you have conveince. I am sure that $15 a day is less than driving to the closest previous venue and paying $10 a day. Look at it compared to any other sporting event and it is still an awesome price.

You're probably right about the 'convenience'. I don't go to other sporting events due to cost, Jazz games, etc. The $4 Coke is a little silly in my opinion. Maybe I should sell my YJ?

Yes, you are right because I think the price is tooooooo much for what I will get, especialy if I take my kids(which adds up to 45.00 a day). I should sell all my stuff and quit the sport.

Well with logic like that how can I argue with you

I didn't say anyone should get rid of there vehicles or quit the sport but just one page before some of the golfers were praising X96 for suporting the sport and then your next post is saying that you will not be supporting the sport by going. I don't golf very much but your I would guess going to spend $15-$30 for a couple of hours of entertainment that your can't take your kids to unless they are playing wich will cost more.
I guess I just think it would be nice to show UROC that what they are doing for the sport is appreciated. I don't know the exact bill on building those courses but they had to put a lot of money on the line for somthing that many on this board said couldn't happen. Now that they finish it and charge a resonable price for admission you say that is too much.

so now you are lumping people into a support or non-support class

who the hell was praising x96? I think it was more suprise that support was coming from them.

just because I don't go to an event does not mean I don't support it.

and yes if I go golfing I do take my kids most of the time,. so whats your point?

and by your same logic, I shouldn't golf because I don't pay to attend a PGA tournment and should sell my golf clubs.

and as far as the bill. weren't they asking for volunteers and FREE dirt and rocks???????

THE NERVE OF THOSE CAPITALIST BASTARDS!!!

Seriously, $15 is a drop in the bucket. Hell, movies cost $8 around here, you don't see Dale Earnhart and they only last 2 hours. At Supercrawl it will last probably 6 hours and you get to see Tracy Jordan.

$15 dollars - I had to pay $550 dollars. My spotter and I get in free and I think we get three wrist bands for each day. That comes down to $36.67 a day PLUS we all have to drive 600 miles.

From my perspective, you guys are really lucky to have this in your town. There are people coming from around the country to watch. People are driving and people are flying. Teams are spending thousands to make it from down south. $15 dollars? Whatever....

If you don't want to go I don't care but you are just asking for people to get heated when you say that that cost is to high. It is not. See you there.

Does anyone know if there are kids tickets?

Berrett - I have heard that you can get $2 discounts at Maverick.

Maverick stores should have some discount coupons. Hopefully they are not all gone yet. Hogi Yogi should have some discount coupons too. There may be other places, post up if you know of any other locations.

I heard for $3 you can get a "hater" ticket under the bleachers to heckle at all the folks that paid $15! :D

"Hey man - You got overcharged!!! I don't see Dale do you?"

"Over here man! - hey, you tell me what is going on? I bet the show sucks huh?"

"Lady! - How much you pay for that bleacher seat? This will never be NASCAR you know!"

Just kidding man..... I am really excited that this is happening and can't wait to get out there.

Well said. Sometimes I think people in Utah are so tight they squeak. Tickets at Jazz games and concerts are way more than $15. A day of skiing is close to $50. This is a full day of entertainment so less dollars per hour than a movie.

I heard of several teams from back east that have many friends and fans cramming into cars to come out and support their buddies.

Personally I think its going to be a full house out there. I was there yesterday looking at the obstacles and watching some of the rigs on them. Man, it's going to be an exciting weekend.

lets see I'm a hater........a tight ass........and a non-supporter of the sport.

all because I don't want to spend the money on this particular event.

I was not being negative toward you gentlemen BUT, you have turned this negative towards me. I have supported this sport for quite sometime. But it seems that I voice my opinion towards the price of the tickets and automaticly I am label an anti whatever.

do you guys actually believe by talking **** on me it will make me just want to go buy tickets to this. Your comments only make me want to stay away.

and why do you keep comparing it to nascar  ???????
and no I don't watch nascar either. Does that mean I should sell my cars because I don't support nascar????????

National coverage...get your fame-on

Yesterday was media day at the RMR. Everyone was there from radio stations, newspapers, and TV. Channel 2 had a live broadcast yesterday afternoon from the RMR, later at 4:30 evening news, and covered it again on the 10 pm sports. This morning Marky P and Clay did an in-studio interview with Fox13. Also, I heard that Jim Rome had commentary on his show (that maybe a vicious high school rumor).

I understand that other national media orginizations are going to be covering some aspect of Supercrawl III include ESPN (of course) Discovery, the History Channel, Speed Channel. ( Who knows...maybe we could even get Oprah out here if she wasn't a democrat) :D

Supercrawl III will have a snowball effect. I hope that all teams/drivers out there can realize what unprecidented coverage this is. For those who understand the potential and the 'bigger-picture' of what is going it translates into a very unique opportunity for you to be able to compete, get your fame-on, and more importantly, attract sponsors out-of-the-industry sponsors (like RedBull) who will actually pay you to compete!

Wow you sure seem eager to liquidate if your jeep or cars were at the right price I might be interested. Then you might be able to justify the huge cost of tickets.
I don't care if you come all three days or not at all I just find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that fifteen dollars is very much for the amount of enertainment that you get. I know plenty of wheelers that don't like the idea of rockcrawling that dosn't mean that they are not for the sport of fourwheeling. Sometimes I think people forget that there is a huge difference between fourwheeling and rockcrawling. I drive a car to the store that dosn't make me nascar material or even a fan.

Have fun golfing or whatever you decide to do this weekend.
