Thanks,I Lean said:Oh, and Art Carr makes some pretty sweet converters. Dunno about cost though....you could talk to Brad Lovell about 'em, he's a dealer now.
I have PMed him about the shifter and will also about the converter.

Yes I asked about the TC and they said $65.00 but they had to order it.Hickey said:Did you ask the tranny place about converters? They may have an stock app with a higher stall. They are also the place to get your flexplate. There is a place on west temple and about 1400 south that builds/rebuilds converters exclusively.
I would do the same.Shawn said:Yes I asked about the TC and they said $65.00 but they had to order it.
Maybe I'll just run the one that came with the tranny to see how it does first.
I just ordered my th400 to D300 Novak adapter..............Hickey said:I would do the same.
If you can, just redrill the d300 side to clock your t-case. That is what I did with my AA adapter.Shawn said:I just ordered my th400 to D300 Novak adapter..............
The Novak adapter comes pre-drilledHickey said:If you can, just redrill the d300 side to clock your t-case. That is what I did with my AA adapter.
Man... I have gone through both sets of seals trying to get these in and I keep shaving just a hair off of the seals. Both the inner and outer  I will get some more seals and try to bend the screw driver.fullsizeyota said:the vaseline is for your seals, be very gentile when installing them around the pistons... i bent the tip of a flat screw driver ever so slightly and it helped to work the seals around... use PLENTY of vaseline.. and remember to "twist" the piston when installing it..
oh ya,,, she is clean now what a mess.....I thing I'm going to try and make a seal slider..fullsizeyota said:thats about how my th-350 looked...... make sure you get all thet crap out of the case.....
super clean, just when you think you have it clean, clean it again
all the fiber material off those clutch discs is in that case or the internals somewhere
Shawn said:pps,,, what about a shift kit? Worth it?
Greg said:They're cheap, like around $100 if I remember. And install is easy, I have done a couple from under the vehicle. They definatley make a tranny have a strong feel to it. I don't think it's needed for your application, but if you want it to kick you in the pants when it shifts, go for it.
yep, cheep and easy. Heat, and that hard hit....I Lean said:....they reduce heat, too. (keep the clutches from slipping as much between shifts)
$100 is way too much I'm thinking. IIRC, mine was ~$30. All it consists of is a couple springs, check balls, and I think a new sheetmetal plate that goes between the housing and valvebody.
Shawn said:ps, did you rebuild the pump?
