What I has in mind was the smaller rigs, something that would be pretty capable on 31's with a welded rear axle. Tires big enough to gain ground clearance, but not quite big enough to break parts.

Yeah. Both the 2.0 I4 and 2.5 v6, depending which it has are interference.
Rip it out and drop a TDI in it though!
