So, it runs! ran pretty good too. started as just shimming my starter to the fly wheel to prep it for the trans turned into firing it up. was pretty fun figuring out the rats nest. here is some of the photography from it all.

first i got the dash laid out after a couple different designs. also re did the center switch panel, made it a little taller and wider. then i also hung the ECM

also got the mini starter positioned and shimmed to fit the flex plate.

Then also had to build some spacers for my alternator bracket. It was were hitting the outlet for the water pump. then rotated the back half of the alternator 180* so the positive terminal was easier to get to.

Also got my junction blocks in and battery cables ran once the alternator was done

So been a hot minute so here we go with some generalized updates

First off since the last post I've knocked out a bunch of little odds and ends stuff like mounting my light bar, doing a bunch of finish welding, playing with the dodge mostly, and working my self to an early grave.

but heres the buggies progress, like i said got the front 20" rigid mounted. got a buttload of parts ordered after the dodge sold, heres a small list:

Wide Open Design Links, 2" uppers, 2.5" lowers
Boyce equipment Chromolly Shafts
Hughes Performance Billet Reverse manual valve body with engine braking and their 2200-2500 stall converter, same one utra4s use cause race car
King 2.5"X 16" shocks for the rear and 2"X 4" king bump stops with cans
Seal kits from Rockwell Offroad
replacement wheel studs, lugnuts, spindle nuts, and other small parts from boyce.
And some other random stuff im forgetting at the moment

some fab updates include getting the rear axle all welded up, cory got the fuel cell all welded up, bunch of finish welding while the butt was nine miles up.

heres the rear axle build/weld/etc

got the axle out and welded up all the link mounts etc, added gussets to them since i plan to lay some beatings down on the chromollys. Built a brake guard out of 1.75" dom scraps we had laying around and its sleeved with about 6"of 1.5"x.25" dom in the front for battering. added my skid and logo and burned it all in. after that i designed up a new suck down point on the differential that was more centered on the axle. The old suck down point was on the edge of the ram mount and i never really liked this idea cause it puts alot of leverage on the axle. got it designed up and added 4 more 3/8" bolts to the housing. so got it all assembled and after some headache and dropping the whole buggy on the axle etc its in and blinging!! Yes we dropped it, dont lift crap when youre relying on a spot weld to hold the chain centered. does some serious damage to concrete and to a drain plug i only had halfway in. The shafts are pure beef compared to the factories! ill get a side by side picture ater and little write up on them. complimentd then with billet seal retainers and better seal from Rockwell Offroad

What do yall think it weighs?

So pulled my front axle back out, welded some gussets to the link mounts and did some better welds on the whole axle. plan to abuse this so it needs the extra strength. got the front links in and even did a flex test on it.
