Nice. Were you able to fix the swaybar bracket? I'm extremely jealous of your lift. It's funny how easy cars are to work on after working on heavy trucks.

Yeah having a lift is nice thats for sure! The sway bar bracket is fixed, I put a piece of 1/4" plate on the back side of it sandwiching the stock sheet metal where the threaded part was, its good to go

looks good to me, cant wait! what time are you thinking you want to head out?

Yeah, wood would be good. I'm so used to fire restrictions that I forget about a campfire. I've got some wood I can bring too.

It's not too late for others to join us, even if it's in your wife's minivan.

I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty excited about this trip. Unfortunately I loaned out my GoPro, so I won't be doing a video of it.

The ws6 trans am is sweet, way under rated.

if I wasn't busy I would be tempted to bring the wife's mini van steve, of course my truck would be more fun, hopefully in a few months here I will have something that i can go do some twisty mountain roads with you guys.

As much fun as this roadtrip sounds, I just can't get away this weekend. So will there be a group headed for MMP for the Autocross? Might be nice to meet some of you guys and put faces and names together.

I should be able to hang out down there for a while. Hopefully parking and viewing is cheap to free.

I'm pretty hard to miss in my high mileage 2003 Neon these days. Especially at night.

Just gauging interest to see who else will be going. Its been many many years since I even went to watch. I've given some thought to Rallycrossing the old beastie as well. I did autocross when I lived in Albuquerque 30 years ago. A few 4th and 3rd places, but I did get a first overall in a gymkhana formatted event. Hmm, wonder if I still have that plaque...

Cool. Parking is free. If you talk to the drivers, I'm sure a few of them would let you ride passenger for a few runs. If you arrive early and volunteer to help score and set up cones, you'll get the most out of it. I wish I could go, but I'll be at the next one hopefully.

My little brother raced rallycross here in utah around 2009-2012. He really enjoyed it, but he said the scene was kinda small and the events weren't super well organized. A lot of them got cancelled the night before the race. He had an absolute ball racing though. I think your Neon would be great for rallycross.

Not sure too many drivers need my gravitationally enhanced ballasting to slow them down! But hoping to chat with Neon, SRT4 drivers, or even the older FWD Mopar guys. I don't think I can spend enough time there to do any volunteer work this weekend, but perhaps later in the season.

I'm sure the Neon will be fun for Rallycross. I watched it in Ridgecrest, Cal. as part of the California Rally Series, before moving here. Right now, chasing down clunky shifting. Already changed master and slave cylinders for the clutch, have a new set of bushings for the shifter. But pretty sure its the throwout bearing with 170,000 miles on it and still the original clutch.
