We had a lot if fun this morning out at 5 mile... Once the 4 strokes were able to be started anyway....
we were about as far away from the parking lot as could be without actually being on Tooele when a Grant got a flat tire :( we rode with him back to the truck, and said goodbye. We then went out and found the sidewinder trail. Golly it was quite the trail.

A couple photos:

Headed out today at 10am to ride gville area. First ride since my hand surgery and it's only at about 20-30% but if anyone wants a chill wet muddy ride they can tag along.

It was so much fun, I've ridden in the rain out there before, but there wasn't nearly this much water! It was crazy, Sam had his GoPro and I'm sure he got some epic footage. I didn't have mine, it's got a big scratch on the lens and I need to fix it. :(

Sam & Lev have a 2 bike hitch hauler they used on the back of Sam's Tahoe, Von had his 250 in the back of his Tow-Coma!

I would love to show you (or anyone) around Rabbit Valley! There's a day's worth of riding out there for sure, if you want to ride the Fruita desert & down 21 Road (which is a blast!), that could be another full day.

It's funny what a small world it is. I met Lev 2 years ago when we were down in Moab for Jeep Safari. He and a bunch of friends were camping just down from us at the Archview Campground. After he got back to Canada he reached out to me on Facebook and he contacted me about his trip down last week. Was kind of a bummer that I was in Ohio and couldn't meet up for a ride.

Awesome! He's a good guy! I wonder if he was riding with Sam? Sam is (was, now in Washington) a Utah local with plenty of rockcrawling experience & several RME friends.

Sounds like fun! Unless your name is Grant. Flat tires suck.

It's Beaver Creek (Logan Canyon). We were headed to ride the Highline Trail but too much snow. What wasn't covered with snow was really slippery sticky mud. We still managed 52 miles but not the 100 we are used to. We spent $10 at the car wash and could have spent more.

Guess where I rode today.... :greg:

The microphone on my GoPro isn't working, I don't usually add music, but without any noise at all, I had to. It's NSFW (some swearing and a bit hard ;) ) so you've been warned.

Looks identical to the gas station on the way to Hobble Creek. My bad.

My bike has been in need of a valve job for a while now. I decided to do a quick valve shim adjustment last night to make a few more rides this year. I went to Jordan valley track this morning with Stratton but left soon after since my bike was not running right. Time for an overhaul I'm afraid. Too bad, it would have been a great day for riding

Well, that's a shitty ride report!

Too bad, but you've gotten your moneys worth out of that bike!

You can buy a brand new head for you bike complete with valves for under $500. I put a new head, piston and rings in a friends CRF450R last June because it was suffering too. Now it runs great again

I'm torn on what to do since it's still on ALL OEM INTERNALS. It's been such a great bike that I haven't ever had to split the case! The head finally running out of clearance may be a sign that it needs new piston, bearings, seals at the least. I'm also the kinda guy that starts simple and ends up with a stroked and bored race ported monster.

I guess the question is so I go all in on this honda? Should I do minimal repair to sell the honda and just buy a more up to date ride?

Can you guys watch this video without problems? It's got some music included, I have someone saying it's blocked due to copyright... but I know others have watched it.
