Went out to the Knolls recreation area for the first time over the weekend. It was alright a little bit of a drive for me and more of a crowd than I like, but being that its cold in Cache Valley it was worth going out and getting a sunburn :D

I was quickly put in my place though my friend invited a friend that invited his desert racer buddy's and they were very fast and ride strictly for competition--I don't think they know how to just have fun. One guy made fun of my WR saying "Woah dude you brought an old one! What year is that thing?! Like 05-06 or something?!" It made me happy that I don't take riding that serious he-he.

Anyway I was really happy with my WR in the desert. The PRS suspension work was magic and I was able to open it up with the 14-47 gears on a dry lake bed woohoo! Good times

Wow, good thing I didn't show up with my '00... They wouldn't have let me ride with them!

Those kind of guys drive me crazy. I love your laid back attitude about riding.

My 06 WR runs better than any of the new ones. To hell with those guys.

Went to the sand dunes today for the first time. Had a lot of fun and got my butt handed to me. Sand is a lot of work! I learned my OLD 2000 WR400 was not really built for sand. Stil had a blast tho. Weather was perfect

Just came back after spending a few days with my brother and friend in the San Rafael Swell. Sorry I didn't post an invite it was a last minute--not sure where we're even headed type of adventure. My brother just bought an XR600 and my friend just bought a 2000 Husqvarna TE610 so they were really excited to try them out. We ran the first portion of 5MOH, all of the Red trail, all of the Orange trail and a few random scenic rides on pavement here and there. It was a lot of fun :D too bad I forgot the camera!

Besides my WR the other two bikes hadn't been ridden by their new owners for more than about 10 miles so that made it even more fun. We're all experienced riders but none of us had ever really ridden a 4T in this type of terrain. Nobody crashed or anything but we totally got our butts kicked from throwing that much weight around. That said we're all really out of shape too so I'm sure that didn't help out LOL. I had to kickstart the Husqvarna for my right handed buddy because he couldn't seem to figure it out (I'm left handed and love left side kicks! Weird huh?! :D) so of course I made fun of him the whole time LOL. The Husqvarna was by far the horsepower champion man that thing pulls hard and for what seems like forever. It is straight as an arrow in the wide open sections as well! The WR was the most comfortable and best suspended and the XR was the billy goat in the group.

We really enjoyed the trail network and it was fun to compare the new bikes. I think this is the first of many enduro adventures to come

Thursday myself and 5 others took off for a ride along the Green River. We got off of I70 on the Floy exit which is between Green River and Hwy 191(Moab Exit) and headed in that way. When we got there we dropped down off the hill into the wash that heads into the White Wash Dunes. After about 30 minutes of seat time, we stopped to shed clothes. I dont know what the temperature ended up being but it was nice.

We actually did the Green River Loop as well as the Dead Cow Loop. Funny thing about the Dead Cow loop was this time we went backwards and in the same place I crashed last year and tore my knee up, I crashed again. This time it had about a foot of water in it and I simply tipped over. I put my foot down in the water and the gooey mud gave way under my foot and I went down and under the water. I was stinky and wet the rest of the day. My padded shorts felt like I had a wet diaper on. My Iphone 4 with all my pictures is lost. I am now the proud new owner of a Iphone 4s.

There was my WR450, another WR450, both with the autoclutches, a YZF250, CRF250, DR350, KTM300 and KTM530. I was able to spend a lot of seat time on the KTM300 and have decided that even though it was fun to ride, I liked my WR better. It fit ME better. The owner is going to get a Rekluse for it next week. One ride on my WR and he was sold on the clutch. The YZF250 was the hardest to ride. It was just geared way to high for what we rode but the rider did very well on it despite having only ridden 6 previous times.

We stopped at Ray's Tavern for our usual meal when I used someone elses phone to call home. My wife told me of the semi crash that had closed the canyon. We knew it was going to be a long wait so we just headed to Salina and up that way to Nephi. We were thinking about staying in Green River and riding Friday but one of the guys had to get back for a wedding.

I'm glad I spoke to my wife so we didnt have to go all the way to Price and find the canyon closed.

I had some cool pictures of our ride but I believe they are lost. My phone has been in a rice bowl since that night.

I believe we are going to try Devils Race Track this Thursday. We will have to see how much snow it gets Monday. If anyone from Price can update this with a snow report after the storm I would appreciate it.
