I'm heard this before but don't really understand why... Are they too brittle? I have Ti valves in my WR should I be concerned?

In the CRFs, the Ti valves tend to stretch really bad. For some reason, the WRs don't have the same problem.

I can't give you the exact scientific reasoning behind it, but from what I have been told is that the coating on the Ti valves is not compatible with the seat material and that causes them to wear quicker. There are 2 solutions to the problem and they probably cost about the same.......SS valves or changing the seat material in the head to what I believe is a Berilium based metal and running Ti valves. Racers ER in St. George does the valve seat replacement fix.

Go with stainless valves instead of the stock Ti.

Kibblewhite is what is being put in it.

Quite possibly. I'd love to get out, I have a few meetings Thursday afternoon I'll have to see if I can get out of.

let me know. I have work 'till 5, but I'm guessing I can sneak out of by 4. Even a 1-2 hour ride would be plenty for me. I'm really out of shape and I'm not used to my new bike yet.

If Thursday night doesn't work, I could do a Saturday ride around 1 or 2.

I can't wait 'till AF Canyon opens back up.

Decided on a new tire also, doing a kenda k270 for a change.. Heard some good reviews on them for trail riding.. Doing a 5.10 17 on it..should be pretty big.

yeah, the singletrack in between 5 mile and lil moab. I think I can handle it better now, although my bike is bigger than my last one...
