We had a great ride out there Saturday but we parked on the Eagle Mountain side and rode out to where we all parked last time and then we jumped across the road and rode the south west side of the mountain and had a blast. There isnt many rocks on that side and the washes were a lot of fun. We put on almost 50 miles.
On a side note, as we were loading to come home a truck pulled up with a man driving and a male and female passenger. They asked if we knew where the nearest hospital was because the male passenger had his rifle blow up in his face. By the looks of him, he was pretty bloody and he had his face covered with a small towel and it was dripping of blood. We said we didnt but could call 911 and then said no because they couldnt afford the ambulance ride. With the amount of blood there was, one of the guys with us said screw it and called anyway. As we were leaving and headed back up the dirt road we saw Life Flight coming in. By the time we got to the asphault, life flight had left and the Sheriffs and Paramedics were standing around. Apparently, they blocked the road so they had to stop and upon further inspection, the gun did not blow up in his face, he didnt have the rifle securely in his hands and when it kicked, the stock hit him in the check bone and split his face open pretty good. The Paramedics bandaged him up quickly and let his buddy drive him to get stitched up. The moral of this story I guess is to make sure you hold your rifle securely. I think we all know of someone who has got smacked by their own scope. Glad it was minor compared to what it could have been
