Rode 32 miles with an average moving speeds of 19mph. We rode several loops that I had never been on before.
The 300 was awesome. I was riding faster than I ever have. Best part was I'd stomp a section then stop to wait for my 15 year old and he was right behind me:) I think we are going to race at least one desert race this year.

Sorry I didn't get a hold of you Chad. My wife didn't get home til 10 so I figured you were already riding. Luke and I rode 44 miles. We averaged 18.7 mph. We did most of the second loop of sage riders 100 hare and hound course. Had lunch on top of chicken rock. It was a great day. We'll have to join up next time.

Got the new bike out on Sunday for a little riding/break-in out at the Soldiers single track. It was a beautiful day. I had the front end wash out once, which resulted in a bent clutch lever but was otherwise an uneventful day. Felt good to get back on a bike after a year and a half ! It was odd at first, but by the end of the day, I was starting to get back in to the grove. A couple more rides and I ought to be back to where I left off :D

We had a great ride out there Saturday but we parked on the Eagle Mountain side and rode out to where we all parked last time and then we jumped across the road and rode the south west side of the mountain and had a blast. There isnt many rocks on that side and the washes were a lot of fun. We put on almost 50 miles.

On a side note, as we were loading to come home a truck pulled up with a man driving and a male and female passenger. They asked if we knew where the nearest hospital was because the male passenger had his rifle blow up in his face. By the looks of him, he was pretty bloody and he had his face covered with a small towel and it was dripping of blood. We said we didnt but could call 911 and then said no because they couldnt afford the ambulance ride. With the amount of blood there was, one of the guys with us said screw it and called anyway. As we were leaving and headed back up the dirt road we saw Life Flight coming in. By the time we got to the asphault, life flight had left and the Sheriffs and Paramedics were standing around. Apparently, they blocked the road so they had to stop and upon further inspection, the gun did not blow up in his face, he didnt have the rifle securely in his hands and when it kicked, the stock hit him in the check bone and split his face open pretty good. The Paramedics bandaged him up quickly and let his buddy drive him to get stitched up. The moral of this story I guess is to make sure you hold your rifle securely. I think we all know of someone who has got smacked by their own scope. Glad it was minor compared to what it could have been
