It's different because they know who their enemy is and can prepare for it. Where as a cop has no idea and anybody can be their killer. Stuff like that you have to be on your guard all the time or you will end up in a box. My wife always wears her gun (fully loaded with 1 in the chamber) and cuffs but saves the extra mags, vest, etc for special outings. That cop is always wearing his and carrying them. That's why cops are always deemed high strung or big man on campus syndrome. They're just trying to get home at night alive.

I noticed that, too. No doubt Jared edited it... There's a couple places that I would like to see the edited part, but other places where it is probably unnecassary - like when the cop was sitting in the car writing the ticket.

Well personally I think the driver of the Durango was a dumb ass.

The officer told him to place his hands on the hood plain and simple, as the officer stated "You should have followed my instructions".

The cop is out there by his self and has to take every situation like this may be the guy that has the guns in the back seat, this guy doesn't listen to what he is being told period so he gets to ride the tazer..

The officer has the power at all times. Those of you that disagree I dare you to do what this dumb ass did next time you get pulled over and see what happens.

both the durango driver and the officer were irrational.....

as far as searches go, most officers I would trust to give permission to search but if I had a officer acting like this one and he asked for permission to search my vehicle I would choose to wait for him to aquire a warrant and demand a marshall be present and frisk the officer before the search. "PLANT" not sure if you have that right during an arrest though..

Im sure 99.9 percent of law enforcement is commendable and deserve our trust and respect, but one crooked cop looking for a big bust to acheive promotion could ruin your life.

I have friends and family in law enforcement and have had a few of them tell me that this is how they would handle a search situation if it happened to them.

Looks like some Vernal dude was wanting more money that daddy would not give him.

The driver is a punk and his hole family are punks. he has grown up with daddy giving him everything and has never taken responceability for anything.

I would have shot him for just being him.



The Trooper was in the right for tasing the kid. You never walk away when told to stop. He was told he was under arrest, and who cares if she was 6 months pregnant. she was not in trouble.


i support the trooper 100%. He was doing his job. If you do not like how he was following the LAW and policy, then do something to change it.

They both are still alive and safe. I see the punk is just fine if he he can get up and follow the officer I think he is okay. The officer could have shot him, OC (pepper spray), hit him with a batton, or used hand to hand defence. Most of those would had led to injury to the punk or the officer.

Just remember where the Troopers pay check and insureance comes from. he gets hurt we pay for it, the subject gets hurt we pay for it.

So you're going to judge an entire family for the actions of this kid? Many of us know you're a cop already, so you're kinda biased anyways. And your last statement in this quote is a scary one, especially because you are an officer.

HEHEHE I know the kid personally and have arrested him. I think there are alot other officer who would do the same. He is a pain in the butt, a royal pain in the butt. He does this all the time. He will complain about any officert that stops him. I think I have 3 complaints from him. 45/20 School zone. He said I was in a unmarked car and I cannot stop anyone in a unmarked car. :rofl::rofl:

I think that trooper has stopped him before.

And I would still shoot him, but in the butt, just so he would remeber how big of a pain in the ass I was:D

NE_UTAH i am not sure I agree 100% but I do think think kid was wrong and the leo was fully justified and right , but comments like that just make cops sound bad. Thank you for doing your job and putting your life on the line to protect the rest of us.

Oh really? The truth comes out.... Do you know the officer in question personally? Just curious if he does have a ego problem like everyone thinks he does. Me personally, I think he was doing his job and nothing more. He had no emotions and was very clear and concise about what he wanted Jared to do and when. There wasn't any wishy washy or second guessing, IMO.

Funny the spokesman for the UHP even said the trooper had an ego problem (his words) on CNN today.

I watched the video again and again and I wish to pull my comments. All I can say is Garner is screwed:( I was wrong and I agree he should have done something diffrent
