Shane, once again, I really think its turning out great.

I love the dual pedals, being from the "excavation" background that I once was, after awhile you really get the feel for dual pedals and it happens without thinking. You could just bend a second pedal out of flat stock to mirror the other, then you just need to slip your foot one way or the other just a little to "cut". I have been toying with a ARB (or E-locker) for the rear so I can unlock the rear and then "cut" one way or the other...

Toyota = no front dig :(

I would do 7/8 on both pedals. Front for sure with discs and couldn't hurt in the rear if you have drums. But I think you have discs right?

Remember back in the day when Mike Shaffer won the ARCA series in his little Samurai? He had no front digs....just a rear ARB and cutting brakes. Locking the one tire worked pretty good for him--it may not work as well for you, since you have a longer wheelbase and more front weight bias.

And now, back to focusing on Shane. :greg:

Yeah, disks f/r. I need to measure the rear calipers to confirm but I think I'll end up going 1" front, 7/8" rear.

One of these days when you are heading down to work on this let me know and I will tag along and offer up some free labor. Maybe I will charge you by making you listen to my questions the whole time.

I did this last weekend... cut about 4.5" of a matching cowl to take up the gap between the window and the hood. Just need to clean it up a bit more. I'm kinda proud, mostly because I despise body work of any kind. It will be nice to clean up the hood and cowl and put some paint on it too.

Parts on the way:
Brake Master cylinders and pedals
brake line junk
couple heim joints for the tie-rod
body panel tabs

Goals for next time I work on it:
finish all tube-work
more gussets and small stuff
get brakes and steering mostly in

Also need to start working in the firewall. The driver side firewall always sucks to do, but I think I have a good plan for that.

That cowl will be nice--if only to have a hinged hood! What's your plan with the cowl--is it going to be welded in, or just bolted?

Slow weekend, but I got the brakes pedals in and received a crapton of trick tabs.
