Tips and techniques for new wheelers

The more I thought about the new member run that's coming up, the more I realized it'd help to have some basic techniques outlined for new wheelers. While I'd like to eventually make this an instructional youtube video, I need to collect my thoughts and plan it out. Any input or help you may have would be appreciated. I intend for this to be a sticky eventually, so I'm going to continually update it. It's a draft for now.

picking the right line

spotting
When spotting, refer to directions as "forward, reverse, passenger side, driver's side." If you use "left" and "right" commands, you'll be confusing either yourself or your driver. They won't know if you're talking about your left or their left. Passenger is always on the passenger side, from everyone's point of view.

what not to do:

Crashes, rolls.

What to do if you roll
- shut off engine
- pull plugs and clear cylinders out

Videos of other people rolling. Try and figure out what went wrong.

Best tip, steady throttle and tire placement. There is a place and time to gas it but most of the time a steady low to medium throttle will keep you moving on a obstacle even if you dont have lockers. Always place your tire on top of a rock in steady of wedged in between, you want to stradle cracks not ride in them and be on top of stuff not trying to go over it.

I dont know if this helps steve but my wife learned alot by me telling her this

I'll also be adding a section with crashing videos so noobs can see what went wrong. I know i've learned a TON by watching youtube videos of rollovers and analyzing what happened.
