I'd personally rather not go on a Sunday, and my wife has Wed's off, so it'd work better for her.

How about Oct 17th-21st? I have to bail out on the 20th, but that should give us enough time to cover it. I'll have to start mapping it out and coming up with where we'll be camping each night. How cool would that be if we got 20 rigs out there? Without any real obstacles, it should still go pretty quickly, and the temps will be nice and low. I think dust will be our main issue, and that's easy to remedy with some good radios.

alright, with the Rubicon behind me, it's time to set this one in stone. I'll get planning on this and let you guys know when it's on.

This sounds like fun. Just to confirm, can this be done in a stock 4x4 full size truck? I'm referring to my 03 GMC 1500 with the off road package, ext cab, short bed.

I've never done it, but it sounds like it's mainly fire roads. If the guys can do it on huge adventure bikes, I'm sure you'll have no problem in your 1500. I don't expect to use 4wd unless we encounter snow.
