Have you done it before? If not, it's good experience in case you ever have to do it on the trail. Plus you can make sure all the required tools are in your trail toolbox.

Yep, I've done it before. Only about a year ago actually, and same side too. Thankfully, O'Reilly provides a lifetime warranty. I need to figure out if it's bad enough to do before I go to Five Mile on Saturday and if I'll have time Friday. Hence the save time vs save money.

*EDIT* O'Reilly will honor the warranty, so my evenings are booked for the next few days. Worse ways to spend an evening or two, I suppose.

Been working on a couple lights for a KOH chase truck the last couple of days and will be sending them down tomorrow once I can get some heat shrink tube around these wire connections to clean it up.

Yeah, gonna have someone do it. For the life of me i can't get the tie rod to let go. Infuriating.

Or a pipe wrench. I could get mine to budge for anything when I was switching over to aluminum links. Put a pipe wrench on the stuck one and it came loose in one try.

are you banging on the tie rod? Smack the knuckle the tie rod goes through.. works every time.

Did that too. I'm guessing it was because the control arm was in full droop? I dunno. I hit it hard at least 50 times. Maybe even double that... Nothing. 'Free' sounds so much better than the shop price....

I did some welding on a broken track bar mount on a cummins.. I have a really hard time getting a good weld while pointing the rod up, or even on a vertical surface. What is the proper way to weld upside down with a stick? Using 6013 rod, 220 welder.

Newest creation for a couple of customers. 1200 Lumen led light with a magnetic base, nearly 10feet of wire, and a cigarette lighter adapter that has an on/off switch so you don't have to plug it in and unplug it after each use.
