I didn't take any pics, but I replaced the badly cracked console lid on the work truck, which used to flop around and irritate me when I had to open it. Now it's nice new, and closes nicely, and it's one of those things that would have bugged me forever. Now it's all good.

Also took a sweet '88 Toyota Corolla wagon for a trip to Ogden and back to see what kind of MPG it gets, and get a feel for its general condition. I traded a spare cop car for it, after swapping the brand new tires that were on it over to MY cop car. It was a great trade, and I"m kind of into the sh*tty 80's vibe of the wagon. Needs some attention but it's going to be a great little commuter until I kill it, whenever that is, and however long it lasts....

Also spent some time staring at things under the CJ7 and planning the full-width swap, and how I want to go about it, schedule-wise. I suppose I should take the soft top off and get ready for the hard top swap, too. AND! I removed the front drive shaft on the Blazer, since I get the new transmssion Tuesday. Plenty of time for the trans swap before I head down to Trail Hero. Right? LOLZZZZ

Worked on the BOD MkII last night, replacing the transmission before I leave for Trail Hero tomorrow? or Monday morning baahahahah

anyway the transfer case had been pumped FULL of ATF. So I'd say at a minimum the output seal on the transmission might have had an issue. I mean, it's possible. Anyway, hopefully I will have the old one out and new one reinstalled by end of night tonight. Tomorrow reattach all the BS and fill stuff up and gooooooo

kinda hate the rush, but hey

Finally got around to building a physical rear steer lockout. Drew up some delrin “keys” that slip tightly between the clevises and an existing delrin spacer I use to limit travel. I still need to round up some fancy pins for use with the chassis tabs and get some bolts that are the correct length (to ditch the black uhmw spacer), and pcoat or paint the steel tube. I’ll test soon, but should be golden. 🤠🇺🇸🦅

Changing out my dirt bike rear tire today.

Check out the scallops shaved out of my tube. Those have to be from spokes right? Thank goodness for Ultra heavy duty tubes! View attachment 141585View attachment 141586View attachment 141587
So initially I thought this was west from the spokes, but then I opened my eyes and realized that’s the OUTSIDE of the wheel so that couldn’t be possible.

After doing a little digging it seems most likely an issue of too much speed on ultra heavy duty tubes. They are so thick they generate heat and create friction spots.

Front bumper iron holes are filled in on both fenders, I'll be knocking down welds and cleaning up mostly the backside of the bumpers for a bit.

Paperboard templates for the rear filler panels are made, we'll finish making those soon, should be last of the fabrication then we will tackle some bodywork fixing.
