It’s not as fancy as anything Rick or mike can do.. but I finished another room in our house... just so i can start on another.

Looks great. I'm envious of those with carpentry skills. I can fumble my way through it and I take forever but most importantly I HATE doing carpentry work. I would much rather have a wrench in my hand than a hammer.

My house repair list.
1.) Dishwasher drain hose needs replacing.
2.) Upstairs tub faucet leaks.
3.) Would like to paint front living room.
4.) Gophers invaded the backyard, ongoing battle.
5.) Driveway concrete slab needs to be leveled.
6.) Need new roof.

Ahhh, the joys of homeownership.

I will paint your living room for XJ parts. I seriously enjoy painting.

Also, I picked up some previously installed but not actually used rock sliders for $200. I'm pretty sure they are JCR ones. Gonna be installing those soon.

•Stacked and backfilled a little precast block retaining wall (background of photo)

•cut subgrade on a 1,500 sq ft concrete pad (for small basketball court)

•Also cut a 16' diameter hole for an in-ground trampoline

Also loaded and hauled off 13 loads of dirt (just around the corner, short haul).

All of this was for my former employer's personal home, which was interesting because he knows I'm working towards becoming a competitor. Even still, he was happy with my work (all of which took ~7 hours to do). He helped labor with stacking the precast retaining wall blocks, but all the rest I did all myself. Productive day for a little side cash

I picked up my coolant surge tank from the polisher yesterday and installed it into our coach last night, filled it, connected the sending unit and the ole' girl is ready to go for the upcoming RV season.

A few pictures of the polish job prior to adding fittings and sight glass.

All fittings, coolant level sensor and sight glass installed ready for installation.

I traced the wire back in preparation to solder the pigtail onto the OEM harness and noticed they had a butt connector about 8” from the eyelet. That’s not too impressive so I opted to cut back further and solder & heat shrink the connections.

It is kind of hard to see but the Weatherpack connector is plugged into the coolant level sensor and routed up along the wire loom blending in with the OEM harness.

We signed a contract for a new construction house a week ago. This just means I join the fine company of Brian and Dave with a bunch of house projects which I want to finish before listing the house. They'll start digging the hole for the new place likely beginning of March so I'm wanting to try and have the house stuff wrapped up about the same time. (Not that we'll list then, but I want to be done with them.) This is a steep deadline that I realistically won't meet but I'm trying to get there.

This week I painted the ceiling and started painting the baseboards both on our main floor, and replaced three window sills that had been chewed up by a former pup. I also topped off the trailer with crap from my failed vegetable garden and emptied it at the landfill.
