Once you past the waterfall bell canyon gets really fun, especially if you're hiking in early summer or late spring when there is snow. It's a really beautiful area up there.

Most of my pics lately are from backpacking trips, not 4x4 trips so I'm struggling for pictures people have driven to. Here's one I found from a trip way back. I drove my truck to this spot. Many RMEers have been within 5 miles of this spot.

Man, I know the swell pretty well, and I don't have a clue. Maybe down by Hidden Splendor?

Nope and nope. Here's a clue: this was during high runoff. Water levels are usually WAY lower than in this pic.

One more clue: if I were to turn around 180*, you'd see something very familiar and man made.

That's not brown enough to be the Devil. I'm going to guess the San Rafael, and if there's something very familiar and manmade behind you then it's probably on Buckhorn Draw?

Or on edit, what DAA said. What I get for google mapping first.

Bingo. Good deduction Holmes. This spot is about 1/2 mile west of Swinging Bridge. You're up Dave.
